Wow, there are actually finer increments allowable by omni than it will actually display - but you can only get them through using the mousewheel (at least as far as I've been able to tell). You have always been able to hold shift and get finer increments, but if you hold shift and use the mousewheel...even smaller worlds appear.

you can see this by creating a new patch and loading up the Minimoog Raw Triangle. send it straight 1/16ths or something. no filter no anything - hear that clicking noise in the beginning? .01 seconds of attack will remove the click...but wait...

move the attack all the way down to zero, now put your cursor over the attack and move your mousewheel slowly up. You can hear the clickiness slowly fade away before the indicator even moves to .01

so mousewheel is king for extremely tiny and precise edits of parameter values. you're not getting that with a knob or click and drag. even if I turn my mouse down to its slowest movement speed I can't get that same result.

btw this seems to only matter for certain parameters. Envelopes it definitely works, FM/Ring sliders not so much            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Not sure if these samples come from Omni or Trillian but I've been really, really loving using the MS-20, SH101 and Oberheim SEM waveforms for patches. They have a ton of character            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe
