Here's all of my Omnisphere patches as of late, I uploaded some of them a while back (on this thread?) but there are a bunch of new ones in here, plus I culled out the really shitty ones.

They are separated into FX, Leads, Pads. Enjoy! Some of them may require soundsources from Trillian and the Bob Moog Tribute Omni bank - so if some of them don't work that's why.

You just drop the folders inside the .rar file into your User folder - on windows the default directory is:

C:Program FilesSpectrasonicsSTEAMOmnisphereSettings LibraryPatchesUser

all you dirty mac users..idk how to help you

Would love to see some other patches!           If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

yup and you can process external audio with stylus if you get Recycle which is great fun!

If you have trillian too make sure to pick up the VIP patch update which makes use of trillian and omnisphere sources.

Not as good as the bob moog bank, but still some good stuff.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

So I've been working on my live ambient set and I finally found a solution to the nagging tiny audio glitches that pop up when you switch patches!

Route each one of omnispheres outs to its own audio track in ableton, and when you are switching a patch make sure to mute the respective audio channel for the part in omni that you're using - it seems the glitch is localized to that particular part.

This problem has vexed me for months and has been a huge problem in terms of me being confident that I could push buttons and only good stuff would happen - I don't like rolling the dice and coming up with a glitch sometimes            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Sigh.

Thought it was fixed. It was not.

if anyone has this glitch problem, PLEASE send an email to info@spectrasonics.net

They can't reproduce it on their systems so they don't have any incentive right now to fix it. please send any and all information regarding this to them so they can fix it!            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Ok I did a bunch more testing....and found the culprit.

My sound card.

I did the same things that usually cause glitches with my laptops on board sound and didn't get a single glitch.

So I went back int my sound cards settings and maxed out the USB USB buffer and process buffer sizes to 4 ms and 1024 samples respectively and no more glitches!

I can switch patches and even full multis without any glitches....I hope this solution actually works for more than a couple minutes like the last ones but actually think this might have nailed it....

Oh btw if you're having CPU issues with Omnisphere in ableton, I found that reaper does a far better job at running omni efficiently. I can max out all 8 slots in reaper with crazy modulation and complex patches and it won't go above 20% CPU, and then I run ableton alongside reaper for my dj setup (neither in rewire) and I sync them both with midi time code from midi ox, and that signal can be read by any Mac or pc with rtpmidi installed for jamming with other people.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Btw, what's your guys fav filters in Omni? Mine is 'Rich and Moogie 1' at the moment. Very musical to my ear. At times I can't even believe they made it in software

'Rich and Moogie 1' is a preset of filters sections ;P (not filter directly)
I cant choose my 1 fav, because some work nice on bass others on synth leads etc...
I love them all           http://www.beatport.com/release/cross-the-atoms/1042450

Almost - the Audio 2 DJ.

A more pro sound card is definitely on the list, I don't like this high latency and I want some inputs and stuff to record animoog and the hardware synth that I will eventually be getting (minibrute or mopho probably...)

Personally I really like the warm 24 db filter, the juicy filters, the colorful filters, but more often than not ill mix and match filter types and push their cutoff/resonance offset around and modulate that, so I almost always end up getting a mixture between two filters.

The omni filters are ok, I still think uhe has them beat on filter design though. Especially when it comes to self oscillation...the omni filters that do self oscillate don't do so in a way that's very pleasing at all....and no matter how hard I try I can't get bass out of omni that comes close to Sylenth bass...though that might be because I have more experience working with sylenth.

What are your favorite bass filters??

btw, the Dual Vocal BP filter in the specialty filter section is pretty dope for zippers and squelches that are kinda humanish            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe
