"Well, I used to enjoy all the nice soft fluffy progressive music. Until one day I just listen to a few older tracks, and it was just like waking up in an instant. Then I went over the fluffy tracks... What was I thinking to myself?"

exactly what happen to me.
now im listening more to techtrance...
its the best trance you can get at night..
and its much more psychedelic than full on (wich is not so psychedelic to me).

i like the repeatetive music with low bpm, this what makes trance psychedelic..

Yes but there is no more tech trance. Or almost.
The only thing that got close it the Mechanix album from Doof Rec. But it's hard hard tech trance even dar full on. A bit too harsh even.

And Rosengreen, what do u mean night progressive music is on its way? Share your knowledge pls

so many dark style artists in the world
and all of them have a different sounds

and its very hard (for organizers) to choose what they like and what the ppl want!

of course they choose a known artists.....
but they r really dont know whats the sound of underground (unknown) artists, or they just dont pay attention on it, and they dont need it, because THE known artists party! more money to come.....

You want night music?

You need to look around!!

Book Gab Olivier from Zero Tolerance and he will remind you what darkness means. Give him the night, and you will find some sick sick stuff that will have people begging for the sun to rise and the fluff to start flowing out of the speakers.

You can order his double cd compilation to get a feel. The 1st is older stuff, but the 2nd is all 2002 12" mixed into one nasty set.

BTW--I agree with the progressive crowd going fluffy trend. I wish some of them would go nasty again. Vibrasphere I loved but the new stuff bores me stiff. Phony Orphants though is still very good and dark. I love the Iboga/Plusquam sound these days, but I wish they did the night side as well as the morning. The old Iboga sound characterized by Lurifax just killed me a few years back...

100% right
ppl don't know what the underground music is and they dont care..
orginizers doesn't try to make a good party, they try to make a party that lots of peaple will come to.
and peaple come to what they know.
here in israel all the parties are the same with the same lineup..
everything is psycho-micro & azax syndrom..

and underground parties are rare or you just cant go to it...

now i dont have the power to go out for a party anymore, so i don't go much to parties only if i know for 99% that it will be a good party..           http://www.o-zen.com/art/ranal

hi ravergirl,

the name of his compilation is "No Nonsense". Don't know if you can get it in Israel, but you should be able to order it off the net. You should also check house shops to see if they carry any of his label's 12". It's labeled "house music" but it's really its own genre of music. It's super deep and dark and slow--probably way too much for a party in Israel, I would guess (but I don't know anything about the scene down there).

Have fun!
