I find 90% saw/ 40% square and 15% square wave filter fm is the fat arsed bass I love to get wet with

yep i hope he will work on a va synth i guess it will be very good after doing tal 101 he preobably learned lot of new stuff on osc, filter, envelops codes ect..
on the beta there was a phase retriger but he removed it cause the filter is always free runing or dunno what exalty he explained.. dont remmember..still whn reso is not crancked i doubt it change much the sound, i asked if he could put it back.. hopefully yes |

it was the first synth i bought i think in 95 or 96 , had lot of fun with it...it s still working i sold it to a friend, might try it one day just for the good old mermories..my presets from that time still in haha
i used it a lot for acid sound.. and psych goa sounds
there was that preset b52 if i remember growling mad dunno what... and i heard gms picked their name cause of synth preset, i guess it s this one..very agressive distorted acid sound i think you can ear it in their jaw track. lot of live of that time used th prophecy on stage |

i lisented some demo sounded great..but then i listened to this..tought both synth dont compare at all i more into this now, sound more pristine.. will never sell my xs i love the caractere the sound of analogs just talk to me more !

Yeah, I own one of those... Keyboard doesn't even work anymore, it's damn ugly, but it's a keeper. Oh, and you need to use MidiQuest thing to even program the thing, 'cause it's sort like DX7 style of user friendly - if you know what I mean. But the engine is very peculiar  |

I had a Z1 about 3 years ago...cost pennies really... great keyboard ( the keys)
but it was like trying to patch a modular though a letterbox,, hard to get any flow with the programming,,,
loved it for a while...amazing arp on it as well
and chords
but then realized I could get more fun with a single note and absolutely no keyboard at all

nice filter.......... the thing that puts me off with filters is the res,, is it has a nasl overtone I cant go with it. fucks witht the pitch of the osc... but thats eh pretty sweet

volume of what is coming in can affect the overall caractere,, at low osc volume it s more smooth and fming a little the filter can quite change the caractere on some sound though, almost liquid in roland theritory sometimes but yeah it can be nasal overall , maybe cause it s 12 db enhance this |

Best Arp I've seen is from the KARMA engine. I like it better then the sounds on that thing. The plus side on Prophecy/Z1 is the engine itself, even though it can sound just like it looks: like cheap plastic! But the VPM (variable phase modulation) sounds very distinct from other stuff, to these day!
Same thing with Yamaha's EX series! There's a couple of quite unique stuff in there if you dig it out of it that is!
Being that the Prophecy has some history behind it, with Dave Smith's contribution to the engine and all, a plug-in could finally make me get rid of the ugly grey thing that no visitor asks questions about, ever! XD |

this sytnh would really benefit of a other filter on top.. a moog one would be nice i guess , nice contraste between both..or something very clean
i like the nasal/squeclchy/metallic caractere of the synth i find it well suited for psy, but its hard to get ride of it, more filters would be really nice for sure to open the sonic palett a little more .

Yep most res circuits ahave a huge change in charetar in vol.. tried going tue other way and overdriving the signal in..here be acid

Was just thinking bout the korg legacey plugin line...and thougt everything else is in ther really just that one keyboard to fill up the lineup,
I mean its coded already. You could just stick it in a shell and done...
