My last progressive thursday @ the maxim

I had my dancing shoes on, the "analog is warmer" shirt, all ready for another progressive night at the maxim. It seems, however, that I'm still "too young for this".
I'm 21 years old. I went to the maxim a couple of times in the past two years, had loads of fun, the atmosphere was cool and the music was good. This time I wanted to see Zombi's solo performance (6.5 hours, as he said), which could give me some inspiration for some future DJing that I intend to do. The guy who stood at the gate asked for an ID, I gave it to him, and he replied: "you are too young to enter". I've never had problems entering this club before. I could've said that I'm on Zombi's list, or a member of Isratrance team, or a journalist but I didn't. I don't like feeling unwelcome and don't like to abuse any "connections" that I may have. Actually, I'm pretty sure that I'm listening to electronic music longer than everybody who stood at the entrance altogether.
Well, you know what? FUCK YOU! I'll kept my money in my wallet. I'm 21 years old, at the peak of my mental and physical abilities and you're OLD, yes, OLD. I like being 21 and would stay 21 forever if I could, even if I can't get into your club.
Music is ageless. This was my opinion when I was 14 and started listening to psytrance, also when I was 16, and this is my opinion right now. It could be that I got the wrong impression, but I thought Thursdays at the maxim were about music too.
Luckily, the club is 5 minutes on foot from my home, so I turned around and went for a beer with a friend...
From now on I'm gonna have my own progressive Thursdays, DJing to myself in my bedroom 
And maybe soon you'll find me partying with some 80 year old grandma on a wheelchair and 3 year old kids on the grass... |

timmy bro, it may be an offtopic comment but i must say it..
don't be sorry for your age, lots of ppl have problem with getting in to trance-psy-proggrasive parties becouse of age limition.. even young artists.. (sesto ect..)
and i really can understand the shit feeling about it, but if you were on the "zomber list" it should been respected..
any how young party ppl in parties are better then adults that are immature!
may you have a great summer of parties,
and don't you stay home.
and BTW, ZOMBER i really can't wait hearing your set.. taz is the next..boom..

hey timmy, interesting topic, if u ask me, u tried to fail the man in the entrance when you gave him your id card , since it's obious 21 is under the age limit in this club, and you still choose to go there, it's not abuse your conecntion's, it's called use your conection,and by one phone call i gues you would solve every problem in that evening.
so you chose you go home with an angry face while it was so easy for you to get in..

My problem is that I don't view a club's gate as a courtroom. I don't have to "present my case" or say that I'm on the list and be "treated" accordingly.
The guy who told me that I'm too young was not a security guard, but rather in charge of the security guards.
