two things.
first, i don't think its abusing your connection to be on a list. everyone is in this or another list.
of course everyone goes by their own rules, if you feel you don't like to go to an event where your friend put their hard earned money for free, thats ok, if you have other red lines you don't want to cross, thats fine too.
but being on a list and not mentioning this to the guard (mind you, the one who knows the least about whats going on in the party of all employees)... i just don't get it.
i must mention that the number of club parties i would be allowed to go in to if i wasnt on the list is a single digit number for sure. dressing too casual and looking too young works against me (there was one time in which i wasnt allowed into a bar with shane gobi... and it was a bar in which my girlfriend worked in... THAT NIGHT ! ! !).
but you think i care about what the selector or guard thinks of me ?
the purpose is enjoying music, listening to the dj you like, getting pissed and dance... not going through the main entrance and certainly not teach lessons,
especially when i don't think anyone understood it.
now for the second point... 21 is no way close to whats coming in terms of good age.
wait for 25, 27 and 29.... those are the shit.

I was on the list for getting a discount, nothing else. I don't think I deserve special treatment and I hate this "combina" tendency.
I don't care about the selector/guard either, but I most certainly don't need to "justify" my case in front of him. It's pointless, it's retarded, and I don't wanna be a part of it.
I'm not waiting for 25, 27 or whatever. My purpose is to enjoy the things I like right now. When I'm 25 I may be a superstar DJ, a heroine junkie, or an aspiring businessman who doesn't give a shit about progressive trance/house.
I like my age the way it is right now, and I'm going to parties to teach lessons. But still, I'm a man of principle.
You've probably misunderstood me because I wasn't really hurt by this incident (as the club is 5 min walk from my house ), it's just that from now on I'll choose my parties more carefully. That's all. |

dear timmy.....if the age limit is 24 and you 21 i dont think its a shame to use the lists! the man in the entrance is geting orders.....and he just doing his work.....
i use the lists in places......
by the way the maxim is one of the best places to listern EVERY thursday quality music! so dont be engry and enjoy the music(like you sayed)!

don't see any age limit here, not at the club's gate and never had any problems getting in.

TiMMY, I had a problem like this and the age limit is not the real reason 4 not letting ppl enter to a club its just an accuse for avoiding Selection - it fact it is a Selection. You want to have a party - put your ego aside be more assertive. I'm 24 and i look like 18 - i cant remammber the last time i was out of a club.

Eather way ,you are the only one to blame for not using smart thinking and droping bombs on the wrong location.
Ur more than wellcome on our parties (as you say that u'v been there for a couple of times).
GET LISTED AND ENTER THE PARTY its not that hard. Lists are made for keeping the ones who are not wellcome outside and you dont seem like a problemfull guys so stop the crap and come to party with us as you allways do

they r here for stay and its mostly for not leting bad or to childish (that dont no how to behave themself)

Sorry guys, but what you're doing is simply ridiculous. I will never be a part of this stupid group of people, who think that you can measure ones personality by his looks only, or worse, by his birthdate. I'm really out of adjectives here to describe this WORTHLESS attitude, which has no place in our scene. I have been to club parties in Tel Aviv without stupid selection and believe me it was JUST FINE.
What happened to me at the gate a week ago has a name in hebrew: "posa".
I'm not going to pretend I'm someone else just to enter a party, I pity the ones who do. It may be the kind of stuff that I would consider in school/work/ etc. but not where I'm supposed to feel free.

Incase you have forgotten, I'm the one who is paying you to enter the party and not the other way around. I was listed for one reason only: to receive a 20NIS discount, not to get "special treatment" from anyone. I don't think I deserve any.

That's just about as immature and childish as you could get. Why do I need to grow up to "understand" age limit?! Is it too complicated for my current mental abilities?!
or maybe you think that in four years when I'll be 25 I'll be looking at the world from another, narrow-minded point of view?
Let me tell you something about "bad energy": This weekend I was in the 3rd empire party in the desert. I've alot of our "trance scene dinosaurs". You know, people in their 30s who come with their tent and don't dance one bit, and that's quite alright. That is, because most of the people who kept the party alive on the dancefloor all night and day where young people, full of POSITIVE energy. Just a small reality check to remind you what it's all about.
People, grow up already, stop with the stupid "posa" start relating to a person by what's inside and not outside.
This topic is getting old, therefore this is my last reply here. I think I've made my position quite clear. Thanks for listening! |

Its not posa. imho without lists and selection: parties will be Like a weekly ars Olympic games. The side effect of selection is that sometimes good ppl falling in-between. Do not take it personally..

Well, TiMMY, that's what happens when you mix the trance scene with the club scene. But it's not the first time you've been bumped out of a party because you're too young; aren't you used to it by now?

i don't really get the problem, so they have a stupid list so what. if anything, just laugh at the prmoters and go in. after all you come for the music and the people so who cares.
