I'm a eager fan of lucid dreaming and what one can do within your own dreams (Think about it, a second life, a new dimension, a new world). My first and only lucid dream... I had been having the same exact dream all week. The scenario is a BIG hospital like building with many floors and corridors. Each night I was running in this big building, and the one thing that happened each night was that I was running through a dirty resident evil like corridor chasing a fast moving straight forward hospital bed. Each nigh while chasing this hospital bed, my feet just wouldn’t follow. Like syrup/honey/glue under my feet. One night while dreaming this repetitive dream I realized that hey !! Fuck this man, I can run faster then this, so I stopped, thought, and came to the conclusion that I must be dreaming (The hospital bed disappeared in the corridors horizon), and pow! I went lucid 100%. I was amazed by the feeling, so I decided to test it the only way I knew. I lifted up both of my feet to see, and I was floating. It was beautiful!! Still a little unsure, I decided that I need too see my self. And within a blink, The corridors was bow! Bang! Pow! Bang! Pow! filled with mirrors on the corridor walls left side. It was a spectacular sight!! Seeing all of those mirrors just pop-up on the wall in the fashion they did. It was quit cool I tell you. Anyway, as I was floating in mid air within the corridor of mirrors, I turned my head to see my self floating. ha-ha, When I saw my face and body floating like that, I got a rush of feelings making me laugh of joy and adrenalin. And I woke up (Of course).. Never had such a perfect lucid dream since, and this was nearly three years ago. Amazing I tell you, Amazing!! I've had hundreds of almost lucid dreams. But not as genuine as this one. So real, so in control, so lucid.
- It would be very nice to read some of your stories.
How you manage to become more lucid.
I know our dreams have means to help us evolve life, there is something utterly psychedelic and magical about dreams. We all dream each night we sleep, and when entering R.E.M. a squirt of D.M.T. is released in your brain (As does it with birth and death). I for one think dreaming and lucid dreaming is highly important and it's a great shame that everyday people neglect the dreaming world. It should be a obligatory class in School..
Step one, think of your dreams, try to remember your dreams. And the rest will follow.
Noted, I once met a Guru of sorts that told me he was in disagreement with me about the importance of dreams. He said an enlightened (or something) person does not have dreams because dreams are irrelevant to life. Personally I will never stop dreaming. My lucid dream, to explore the universe.

Nice theme for a thread!
Dreams is our hidden psychological chaos, they have have a meaning and is possible to learn things about ourselves, meet our ego..
I think that he dream u saw on the hospital maybe means that ur esoteric world is ill ,and u need to spend some time to the hospital to heal ur self.
What really happens in the day time on the physical plane,it also happens the night when we dream on the astral plane, the enlighted persons dont see dreams because tehy are all time awakened during the daylife on the physical,so they psychology is not chaos, their mind is clear, they dont have ego,so the reflection of their subconcious mind, their egos, dont have anything special to show on their dreams, they sleep awaken and dont have to dream any egositic thought projections of the mind, they are clean, their astral body is clean, their sleep is clean.
I remeber once I have a lucid, and awaken on my dream, knew that I was dreaming,I found my self speaking with some people wondering what am I doing there, sudently I started to yawn,as I was yawning I started to feel sleepy,in the sleep of my dream, and as yawning more and more,I was feeling more and more sleepy, more deep, and when I reach the deepest state of sleep as I was yawning..I woke up on my bed.
I felt like matrix, because I realised that awakened lucid dreams, have much more awakend concousnes then if we are "awaken" in the physical, think of it,when I slept in my dream I awakend in the physical... weird eh?

I had a nested dream last night. Dream within a dream. Was pretty damn cool!
I had a loong intense dream. Woke up and there were these random ppl whom i was telling about my dream. And then i woke up again in the 'real' world.
I actually wrote down many details about the whole experience. Have written a dream after very long time. Maybe i'll do it again tomorrow.
Will try to maintain a journal. I believe its a good step towards lucid dreaming.

I accidentally found a book on lucid dreaming when i was 14.
I tried it out, dude it was amazinnn!! Very beautiful and realistic, not at all surreal experience i would. It wasnt a twisted reality like other dreams.
Well heres what i remember now of my escapade.
I read about sum simple techniques of lucid dreaming, like looking at your hand every few minutes the whole day and realising you are awake. And then when you go to sleep the hand reappears and you "know" you are dreaming and its time to take control.
Well, when i did take control it was like waking out of my body. I really wished I could fly and thats what I did in my lucid. I climbed on top of a building. Strangely the whole area where I lived was exactly the same way in my dream there were no dream distortions thats what made that more real!
And then I jumped off the building very confident that I will be flying and man i did! A nice tour of the area in aerial mode and Then i decided its enough exploration and ended my dream.
I had onem ore lucid experience but i dont want to share that
Anyways, I would say that it is definately something real but i gave up after a few times as i thought it was a bit dangerous for my rational thoughts and that i would become a psycho..
However no harm in trying to have a few experiences, go for it!
Also try to google for techniques..technique is very important to go lucid |

@Tina: I think that there are more people that know what we are talking about but they are afraid to talk in public about it because they thing that other people will make fun of them...
@ALL
Has it ever happen to you to have a lucid dream but for a strange reason to wake up while you don't want to?
I remember many times waking up and try with all my strength to dream again the same dream but i couldn't.
I was falling again in dreamland but not in the same point i left it.
I remember seeing the last image of the old dream and the the first image of new in different places, divided, and me trying to stick them together.
I couldn't combine them whatever i done until one night i found the magic glue: SOAP!
With SOAP i could stick two dreams together!!!
But one thing that bothers me is that i don't have lucid dreams any more, i am 33 years old, and i barely remember any dream now, when i wake up...
It's very sad...
Why does this happening to me?
Because of what i eat, drink, smoke?
Because of the hard day's job?
Because i am not to noble anymore?
Is there any meditation to re-establish my former dreaming abilities???
Please help...!

Dear friend Jedi_knight ,
I will give an answer from my own experience about that issue.
First of all you already answered your self by this:

Everything that influence you TOO MUCH physically and emotionally is the direct reason to your lucid dreams happening or not happening.
First of all I need to clarify to you and more folks here few things regarding dream and kind of dreams:
There Is 3 kinds of non-physical life (dreams):
1- Lucid dream: its when you know at the dream that you are dreaming and you can take control of your self and everything around you.you can change the reality you are in within moment if you wish.
2- Normal dream: its the common one that you dont remember after waking up , and when you are in the dream you dont know that you are dreaming.
3- Astral Projection/Out of body experience: its a result of massive lucid dreams, once you have a lot of lucid dreams constantly in specific period (months in row) then you can get of your body coz you have a lot of control of your self.
People are confusing between lucid dreams and astral body experience , those are similar but not the same.
Coz lucid dream is still a dream and you can change the reality around you that looks physical. But in the astral projection /out of body experience you are not dreaming , simply your soul is out of your body in this physical world we are in now , and you can't change this physical world image but you can gain a lot of power and energies like in lucid dream , also you can fly , div under water , walk through walls , fire , etc...without getting hurt.
But how you can know if you are in a lucid dream or astral body experience ? very simple: if you know that you are dreaming then its a lucid dream.
But astral body the feeling is something else, you aware to your self but you know its not as dream.
Also in lucid dream you see your friends and talk to them , but its all your mind creation , they dont talk to you really and they dont know about that if you ask them next day when you wake up.
But in astral body you will not see your friends (if its night) because probably they are asleep , but you can go to their home and see them sleeping at bed but they will not see you even if they are awake - you are ghost.
Now back to our subject:
If your life is too normal & you dont think about those issues we are talking about right now (spirituality, etc...) , then probably your dreams will be normal too.
But if you like spirituality but still have no lucid dream anymore , its a reason of things that disturb your mind like life stress , money , work , family , wife/gf (specially if your relation ship is not healthy) , what Iam trying to say:
if there is something in this physical life that affect you emotionally too much (makes you angry , upset , sad , or too happy that you are focus on it only) then lucid dreams will not appear , and if lucid doesnt appear then astral body experience will not appear too, coz lucid dreams are the preparation for astral body experience.
So again here is the schema that makes troubles:
Strong emotional feelings that are caused by -> either good thing or bad things you are experiencing lately -> As friends -> job -> family -> the environment you live in , etc...

Is there any meditation to re-establish my former dreaming abilities???
|
|
And yes there is a solution for that:
1.
This one I will not recommend you but I will mention as its the quickest one: using psychedelics and going to trance parties few times..that will expand back your mind and remove your focus from specific thing that killed your lucid dreams. and then it will change your thoughts deeply to what you seek for (lucid dreams).
2. This is the natural one: and its going by steps:
1- Dont take your job to your bed when you go to sleep. I mean dont think about your work once you get to sleep try not to think about any thing. But I mentioned work coz everyone hate to work.
2- Start to behave more apathetic to people around you: if your gf/wife , close friends , hurt you , try to take it easy and forget this, know that they are the losers not you, just dont think about them , specially when you go to sleep.
3- Dont watch horror movies at all!!! Coz if you do , you may have lucid but this will be bad lucid dream. But if you know how to handle bad lucid dream then you are welcome to watch non stop horror movies , this one will lead your mind to focus on powerful emotional things into it that makes awareness.
4- Let your room and everything around you be related to spirituality , and I mean: put in your PC at the desktop many articles and books regarding Lucid dreams and specially astral projection books (search in google ,there are many of those) , keep reading them and practice them! But dont cheat your self! It takes time ,but once you get advanced , you will not need any advices from anyone, you will be the one who will give advices
5- When you go to sleep , always try to think that you want to be aware of your dream! And wish that you get out of your body! Keep doing this everyday , every night! Let it be the main thing in your life
6- When you go to sleep , try to remember in bed the feelings when you were aware about your self in a lucid dream close your eyes and stay with that feelings.keep doing it.
7- Read again those posts about lucid.many times a month , till you remember them.this will lead you to focus on this subject and forget the other life distracters (job , friends , problems) and guess what happens.next time when you go to sleep , your mind will think automatically about lucid dream / out of body experience -> and this will lead to:----„³ yes right: Lucid dreams , and if you are lucky then you will have astral projection experience
There are more many other tips.
But simply stick with read and practicing astral projection books!!! Treat your mind to learn those books.live those methods are taught there! You will see the magic happening very quickly (within 1 -2 weeks you are back to business.).
I would suggest you the " Kabbalah" book of jewish but exists only in Hebrew..that one is very powerfull.but very dangerous to people who dont know what they are doing.i read it a lot and travel to many distant places
Thats it my friend.
Keep us updated and share your advancing.
Good luck to you , me , everyone that like spiritual tripping

Thanks for the advices!!!
Concentration before sleeping is the key i think but how can i get reed of the day's thoughts is the hard part...
I promise i'll try!
The goal is worthy!
I still feel nostalgic about my youth's dreaming abilities...
I also can't manage to be too apathetic to the things around me.
I believe that living in a city has to do with it.
If i was leaving in the country i would be more healthy and powerful spiritual.
They are just so subhuman the cities nowadays...

thanks amigo, apologize for the late answer
its true that the brain works it's self out through dreams at night, one exiting aspect is to )also= observe your mind while sleeping ,) besoteric! nice word, you learn something new each day! - My memories from the dream is a huge brick cube kbuilding in nothingness. Not a sunshine lala image, more of the resident dirty evil computergame, movie style as mentioned above. Not a pleasent look. So it's not a hospital I would like to heal my self . Analyze as wish. I'm (almost) never afraid, even if in that dream my scenarios was ,,scary", if you will, I very rarly scared. When I was a kid (6-7 i think) I found my self enjoying my scary dreams.., because I could control my condition and I knew nothing could or would hurt me there, and over the years they dissapeared completely, because I didn't seem to need them anymore. I've had some memorible bad dreams in after time of course. Like when I was 8 I had this soulcrying dream where my mother wouldnt love me because .. get this, I was a huge dinosaur woke up in tears. And not so many years ago I woke up hysterically crying because I dreamt that a cat was terring my bird Kleo apart!! BEST bird in the world .. I guess emotional bad dreams has apperd, but scary dreams never. I once heard about this friend of a friend that had a repeating dream where each night he was chased by this monster, right, and one night he got tierd of running so he stopped, turned and faced the monster and asked him he was chasing him. As the monster approached it would morph into a harmless small girl. He apperently had a lifechanging talk or something hehe. So dreams can not hurt you, it is nothing to fear. Luckely we all grow from this e?h
I've had two weeks in my adult life where I've then been ,,enlightened" (preassure on ,, "), and that was while liquide crystal water in the himelaya. .o_O.. - after that I've had a tad too many de javu's haha But I guess the baba is somehow right, I'll still like to enjoy my dreams, no rush to get totally enlightened life is to be experienced as is da driims. I'm greatful the day I reach it though yo .. I did have councidentely 2 weeks when I had landed in of Intense dreams in all shapes.
when you slept in the dream .. hm, like

Life is a huge trip man, HUGE!! and np you can take this huge universe, and put inside a very tiny head, you fold it.
.. I'm far from a pro lucid dreamer, even though I've been in love with dreams since ever. Hows that for a slower a-ha'er, eh?
peace and dreams, where we can even conciously meet (?), so why 'not' dream? matrix and matrix so you both like matrix, would be strange if to AWAKE inside the dream of the dream would be the key to open up eyes =)

By Practice!
Don't let the stress of life grow in your mind...treat the stress as food that you are going to shit and get out of your body.
Know that you are always feeling good! Even if you are not! Just fake it till you make it! Every time you feel depression (as every body feels many times) then immediately think about something good that you had in life (simply don’t div into bad thoughts deep, ignore them by replacing them good memories).
We have memory buttons in our brain. We tend to push the bad once unconsciously due to lake of control.
But you can get that control back very simple , just push the good button you have , and iam sure you have.
Maybe it’s the first time you had ice-dream , good food , sex , good grade , or just a conversation with friends, or a post that you read and made you funny , funny movie , etc...the possibilities are endless...
just pick any of them each time you feel upset…then a smile will show up then maybe laught...
but in public places you may hide the smile or smile but not very wide if you feel embraced to smile with your own self , but the important is to smile inside.
This works 100% for all of us.
I also live in city like you with the so called stress (like anyone else in city actually)...but since few years ago I don’t know that thing called stress, and believe me I have loads of troubles (Job , people around me , environment , with many X-Girls {I am a professional relation ships destroyer) , and many more shit...) but I see all that of things as temporary a dirt that I can remove easily...
It doesn’t make for me bad feelings , and if yes then I quickly stop and check my self then reload the good things in mind. All the time we imagine…our mind is like a thoughts train that never stop thinking…and it’s the only thing responsible for our feelings. So try to make your mind as your obedient dog...
every time you feel bad then immediately look at your mind, you will find that you are thinking about irrelevant things…so don’t fight those things. simply Just replace them by things that made you happy in the past that will draw to your face a smile.
It needs a lot of practice , its a new way of life…its like gym….if you stop this method then you will get back to stress….what I mean, you always should keep doing it.
On the beginning its hard but later it will be easier and you will not need to invest energies as before in order to feel good. Simply by time you will have less bad thoughts…you will realize that everything around means nothing bad…everything is good…even bad incidents....
you will fix by time your inner problems...
I also have sometimes bad feelings but its for few moments then its getting away automatically due to the good memory button method...
sometimes my friends call me kuku and other of them say I am like a stone has no feelings , no one can hurt me and they wish they could be the same , and they laugh all the time when we are together coz I make fun of every thing every moment.
And strange people for sure think or believe iam serious fucking kuku….. but I like this way of life…I am surrounded with many funny people now.
Also you can do it my friend!

Those are only excuses my friend!
i know that coz i was doing it too when things didn't go as i wish , i looked what or who to blame (me or other things around me) , instead of trying to improve my self.
This is how your mind cheats you when you are not under control or controlling very few part of it.
You can survive and feel the best in the worst conditions...
just practice the memory buttons that was explained before...
And you sound very smart guy , you can do it very easy, without any effort , piece of cake for you...
You will success very easy , just give it a time.
I only wish you best of luck my frind
