is it possible to have totally safe legal out door parties in India anymore if yes then how ?

Hi guys, I don't know much about the scene in India to be honest, but governments seem to be afraid of parties everywhere in the world, specially because lots of people get together and they are afraid of chaos.
In Mexico and Brazil what has worked to make legal parties is to work in conjunction with the authorities, to go and ask them for their approval, and request some police officers for the party.
Yes it is not as cool as having a party without them, they might make more than one person unconfortable, but having a legal party with cops is better than not having anything.
What do you think, could this work?
what ideas do you have?

but i dont think u'll get sponsors easily for psy gigs....u'll have to make it an electronic music fest...
u'll have to involve the govt as well as the media....

Well its possible if its done in the open in the public eye ,...have we ever had a street party ???
If you can have Bhangra Drums Playing in the streets and ppls getting drunk and rolling all over in a marraige ...religious processions etc etc ...then why not a Psy gig hheeheh or atleast a few hrs party and then gradually when the ppls are used to it have a big one ..in a forest but closeby ...let pls know it is there ...dont bom in the open thats all maybe ..they have been doing that for years now in France and Spain / Portugal ...we could try it in India .
Its only after ure folks at home know that trance wont kill you that they let you play it loud at home right ...so play it in the streets let ppl know it

lol .. nice in theory but wont happen .. or if it does . it`l be crap .. those gigs work well in europe etc ..cant compare to here .. imagine all the rubbernecks , paan walas etc dancing about a psy float on a crowded indian street .. who`s in ?
i know asad does his ganesh visarjan thing annually but thats different i spose .. and I`v never been to one of those .. how is the experience , good ? |

Lemme explain Forza. We have always been influenced by Goa - where, until a few years ago, parties were made on psychedelics sales. In cities too then, most of the outdoor scene was planned by people who recovered money through this. Obviously, this is going to draw some attention as the police outside Goa doesn't understand or care for it. If they do, they want lots of money.
Since a few years though, Goa itself has changed...there are openair 'clubs' which manage the scene. It's clean money and taxes are paid. But the effect will take time to trickle down since the traditional partymakers are gone.
A new breed will surely come about, which will have a different outlook (and no paranoia) towards making parties here. If you look at the law, there is nothing which can prevent you from making an all-night party in jungles where it affects no one if you are not selling.
But to be realistic, a lot of bad name has come for the trance/rave scene because of the practises I mentioned, so I guess its best to give it a break for a while before we make a fresh start

Maybe a break is good, at least until the dust settles, but really if you go and talk with the authorities, ask nicely and come with a good plan to make a clean honest party, you might get away with it.

goa was the place to have the almost legal outdoor parties and people raped the scene over there... trying to take back bits n pieces and start thier own parties in the city... too many people.. tooo much talking and now its not safe to do this sorta thing anymore.. atleast in present times... legal outdoor party in india... never gonna happen!!!!!!

@Hey Morza, the answer to ur question is a very much YES!!!!
You can defnitely organize a safe party by taking permission from the legal departments concerned such as Police, excise etc.
To acquire this permission you need to pay an upfront advance money ranging from Rs 20000- rs 50000 on a normal day and something with rs 100000 on new years eve. out of which only 10 to 15% is accounted and you get a receipt. Also u need to pay a challan for Police Bandobast if you wish to keep some constables on the spot, which is recommended. For one constable the rate is Rs 350/- approx .
The above mentioned procedure is for organizing a one night party. I am not sure how it works for a festival. But i guess it should be the same with a lil higher budget.

Hey ya its very correct, Redbull, Power Horse or effect is always ready to sponsor but not in cash only in kind...
I would suggest to all promoters to take the legal dep into their confidence b4 making any party and i am sure things would chnage..
