Why call it a trance/psy festival? Let it be A MUSIC FESTIVAL...Like for example, Chill set for Sunset, Alternative rock for late evening, Electro for night and Psy till early morning... also add a classical music artist (Ronu Majumdar on Bansuri can be elevating for anyone)This way you don't attach any D's to the event.
Add Charity for good Karma,a corporate sponsor to back it up and get a politician to inaugrate the event (lamp lightoing and speech...hehe)Nothing can touch the gig.
Also, It needs to be away from city limits... Not Hidden but away...again IMHO:)

forget the "d's".. its just the attitude the government has toward psy scenes, even indoor's at clubs are hardly allowed anymore ! but a whole Music Festival sound's like an crazy idea.. that HAS to work !  anything to hear some Kdd and Psychov.. |

actually ... the cops don't have any attitude towards the music at all ... in fact their war is against drugs, dealers and consumers ... and they don't like organizers who support the cause of the two ... so they see a party as conspiracy to sell and consume and all present are part of the conspiracy ... they know that there is a lot of money to be made from selling ... and so they think anyone can slip for that kind of easy money and indulge in such activities ... the reason the cops target trance parties is because they are aware of everything now.
so a promoter of the music / organizer has to ensure no one consumes or sells at his event ... he has to try his best. the law states that if u see someone consuming or selling ... it is the moral duty or obligation of every citizen to either inform the police about such activities or then just walk away from there ... if you don't do either then u are part of the conspiracy. People do and sell d's in commercial parties too, then why are psytrance gigs always targeted? If things were going according to law there would be no psy gigs in India.

Outdoor legal parties..i dont think is possible soon cause there are alot of permissions u need to get and u also need alot of investment.
I dont think its possible without a sponsor and i dont think any alcohol/beer/energy drink/brand will be ready to sponsor an outdoor trance party yet.
Even a big music festival like Big Chill (and also Sunburn which is happening this year) which was the first legal festival i went for in India was shutting the sound by 10 pm + there were cops roaming around inside.

man this is crazy news if th3ey are shutting this Sunburn by 10pm then what of the X mas and New Year gigs in Goa this time ??
