is it possible to have totally safe legal out door parties in India anymore if yes then how ?

Make it a charity event in association with the cops dept..a music fesival.
Pull an energy drink and clearine (and maybe rizla) to sponsor the event
Everyone is a winner:)

yes it is very possible to make legal open air parties. but where ? Location is everything. if it is in a stadium or a a specific place to org events (bandra mmrda grounds)... then there are 13 permissions needed.
1. police
2. bmc
3. fire dept
4. entertainment
5. excise.
6. traffic
7. Phonographic Performance Lic.
8. there is something called a show lic. which is for events and shows like these.

the entertainment tax in mumbai is the highest in the country. one has to prepay the tax for the tickets to be sold. these tickets have to be stamped by the entertainment tax authority.
right now i cant recall what the others are ... it takes close to 2 months of running from one dept to the other to get these licenses. there is no single window clearance for such events in our country.
then at the event place you have to mark out all areas ... toilets, running water, barricading, entry & exits, security, police protection, car park, back stage, green room, speaker stacks, video screens, etc
other expenses are
1. artists
2. sound
3. lights
4. personel/ man power
5. advt.
6. transport and logistics
7. bribes
8. misc expenses
9. bar set up
10. printing
11. video equipment
etc etc etc
thats why one needs many sponsors to make an event like this possible. permissions are not easy to come by so one has to use connections and good will. one needs multiple sponsors to help with all of the above expenses as just gate entry and bar sales is not enough to recover such heavy costs.
an organizer has to make sure no banned substances are sneaked in and consumed. the organizer also needs an ambulance at the venue in case of any emergency.
Legally the show will have to stop at 10:00 pm. as thats supreme court law. one can always manage this aspect if the cops feel u don't disturb anyone. no complaints, no fights, then you're smoothly sailing.
this is all i could gather from memory for the now ... if i recall any more details i shall type again. hope all this helps.

It's all coming back to how it was earlier... Guess now it would be sensible to start gearing up for extreme weather conditions ! Party where no party pooper would ever imagine to reach... Out there in the wild somewhere! A brand new morning in the woods with punchy basslines and catchy multi-layered midi sequences... sipping on tea in some cranky old granny's chatai domain etching images between fantasy and reality

i like the spirit..
but yes yes that's all we need, a party with cops hovering all over the place, staring at you like your a vermin for the depts of the dirtiest sewer ! no police official in maharashtra (as of now) is going to allow (or rather even hear the word Trance) a rave ! even if its for charity..

In Brazilian's festival trancendence 2005 edition, there were cops all over the place, a lot of people with drugs got arrested, and honestly it was kind of uncomfortable to have them there, but if you kept clean you had nothing to fear.
imho a Festival with cops is better than no festival, besides if you are able to demonstrate what do you want to create in a trance party you might be able to earn the government's trust and be more lax on security or surveillance

i think legal outdoor is very much possible but u ve to keep "D" stffs underground....take example of rock shows or campus rock...no body is against muzik......bt their main concern wid "D"....

ya rock concerts are filled with em.....the only dif is that they do the head banging.which people think is quite normal.....but we shake our mind body n soul with some weird facial expressions......thats when people think we are insane........
sure outdoor parties happen,for a day its fine..coz by the time the authorities know abt it..the show must have endeed...n happen real good.if its kept a bit low profile......but festivals are hard ,coz news spread out...n by the second/third day...we see its busted......the first day will run fine.....then comes the madness....

come on now ... people lets not start discussing substances please ... the topic is - is it possible to have totally safe legal out door parties in India anymore if yes then how ? ... why is that all topics have to go down this way ... please talk about the music and the relevant issues only ... legalization of substances shouldn't be encouraged if one is not ready to face the consequences ... so please stay with the topic ...
organizers should not encourage consumption of substances ... strict door policy is the only way to ensure this scene survives ... people today think they are cool and better than others because they consume and listen to trance ... ppl at outdoor parties think it is their birthright to pull and stuff ... but thats detrimental to the scene ... the times are changing and we have to keep with it ... for the now its best to not even talk about it anymore ... so please no more talk of it here ... i will delete the post completely if we continue to talk of substance ... thanks for understanding ...
