It happens to me more and more latly to see Dj's in a party going on stage ....jumping like crazy on thier music which in many cases.. no one can understand
what the hell is going out of those spickers !....it sometimes look like the dj want us to die ! instad of dancing ! and the more stronger it is, the better !
i like music alot .....and i like full on !
but it needs more than just crazy noizes sits on a 150bpm kik and baseline to call it music ....... whats that ???? the stronger the better ??? the panisher is the man ?? come on ......!
dont forget its dance music we talking about......not world war 3
Full on arties pls' !!!
less ego = more creativity
anyone ?

well i don't want to miss lead you or anyone..and i might be wrong...but
tracks at 150bpm...that i think it's full on...are just one from eskimo..154 in fact i think..
all the full on i know..it's from 140-147, 148 the most...
but i know lots of tracks at 150 and upper that i know them as darktrance producers....
and i do have that same feeling as you about most of the darktrance dj's and stuff..the faster and harder the better...that's why i don't enjoy dark , only one or two artists...
and the way you talk about world war 3.....it's really what i know as darktrance lol

i missed the part where you explain how full on DJ's are more egocentric because they play that kind of music... you might not like it, but because they are jumping and actually enjoying what they do, is no reason to label them as egocentric is it?
i have seen many DJ's may that spin progressive or full on, or dark to tiesto! and i personally find it a bit boring when they just stand there and look like they are taking a math exam...
but i think you are reffering to producers who play full on... in which case they are probably going to be more exited because is their music playing... might as well be proud of what you do no? otherwise why leave home to begin with? I think this has nothing to with full on, since i have met equally egocentric producers that play progressive, to chill... i don't see how you connect one with the other... sorry

i dont see ego from what u saying
dj jumping on the stage is that ego?
and where the bpm of the track contact to ego?
btw dj can jump on the stage with all kind of music thats not say he have ego
anywayz i dont see any sense with what u saying.
if u try to say generally the fullon dj's they have ego ok thats your opinion but make organize with what u worte.

frankly i enjoy the show much more if the performer, whether it be dj or live act, is really energetic and "jumping around", it makes me enjoy it more to see them enjoying themselves. i love watching groups like gms/psysex who dance etc on stage while they perform, i think they can connect with the people on the dance floor much more that way, the fact that it is their own music is irrelevant. |

actually i think its the opposite. the dj that dances to his music doesnt see him or herself as above the dancers hes playing for but rather he is one of the dancers. i find it to LOOK more egocentric when the dj stands there without moving and glancing at the crowd time and time again like he is controlling them and then looks up again doesnt smile but rather smirks. that is the ego pose.

Well I am tripping so much that I dont care whether the DJ is dancing or not. Although a smiling DJ are always appreciated.
Bottomline: Smiling DJ + Kick-ass music = Suxy party!

you got me wrong here.....so i try again >
the 150 bpm was just an exsample !!!!
and i got nothing against dancing or fullon !
and it does'nt metter if its an arties(his own music) or dj !
i'm talking about the attitude !! the music .... what we hear ! there's some good dj with mature attitude that build up their set and read the crowd ......and there are many "Rambos" that thinks we still in "Nam" !
and that happen to many artiest when they in the studio !
instad of thinking how to be creative .....all they got in mine is how do we boom sygon !
The ego stop tham from being more musicsion !
thats why many of the full-on today sound the same ....
gms/psysex are one of the best acts today.... but they from the time music was music and they are always creative and full with music !!! can u say it on many others ??? ......
again ...nothing against smiling or dancing
it works .. but remember...we pay for the tickets...i want to dance too......i'm asking for music not booms !
may be its our fault .....when we say to a friend dj :
go kill tham instad of go lift tham up....make tham dance !

I dont think it's got anything to do with ego. If DJ's dance then it's great. No problem in that.
But I dont see why Dj's that dont dance have to be less good DJ's or less "one of the crowd" Dj's.
Ever thought about that to DJ = concentrate to select the right tracks and make good mixes? Somehow I doubt the flow of the tracks or at least the mixes are very good if the DJ dance more than he/she concentrate. |

I hate it when DJ's go absoloutely crazy just to get the crowd moving. I've seen so many of them bounce to tracks crazily which makes them look funny! Well if its humor they're creating..  Job!

the dancing is not the issue here or how much dj must b consentrate !!
its about how Ego effect on music creation ....and about dj's when they play....
if i wanna see jumping ppl' ....i go to the circus
if i wanna kill n get killed i go to Nam !
and if i wanna dance !
don't want any m'f to shoot at me all his ego problems !
i want a nice smiling pro dj\artiest who plays music....and make me wanna dance !
