Nah...we just have alot land and quite a few people, all types of people, and we're in our own fortress guarded by two oceans. You would HARD-PRESSED to find some town where somebody DIDN'T take acid.
California was the birthplace of the synthesis of psychedelia+music+culture, it's still there.
Nelly, P.Diddy and the like are all about getting theirs, keeping it, showing it off and certainly a large segment is a part of this mentality. The rest are into to raising their children, and/or spreading the word of doG.
Check out the Burning Man event for the ultimate in a surreal psychedelic nexus. And we don't litter either.
