On 31 of August Chaos Unlimited will officially stop existing.
Cosmophillia closed its doors just some time ago and now the biggest online shop in UK and one of the major online shops in the psy trance scene follows the same path.
Good work kids you finnally achieved to destroy this once wonderful scene.
Keep producing 160bpm 'music',establishing joke labels to release yours and your friends music and trying to get some bookings through them and signing killarrrrgh artists for free and flooding the market with crappy releases.

Thank god amboworld seems intact...
Listen Detox, there is no need to patronize people with your clever insights on to why the scene is what it is today.
I don't think exposure prods has been around long enough that you can pass judgement on others on how to run a label/business/whatever.
That said I like some of your releases and I hope that this recent turn of events won't prevent you from releasing the Even11 album

So you are the only one with the right to produce the "good" psy!!
Everyone can do the music they want and do whatever they please with it.
If u are expressing (i doubt it) the point of view of the label, then im glad it done for!

Tolerance has its limits and when you see a bunch of wannabe artists and wannabe djs and wannabe label managers destroying everything around you then there is no more tolerance but reaction instead.
I dont give a fuck about my label,you see i am doing it for fun and to help and promote the music i love,i dont promote myself through my label to get bookings,i dont release music for free and i dont exploit any artists,i dont make money out of it i actually invest much more than i should on it,i try to give something not to take,how many can claim all these things in public?
Not many (unfortunately) i guess.
Go on and put out some more releases,someone might notice you and invite you to a party next week,you might even find a girlfriend there you know.

Have to agree with krell and others posts
DETOX, its not about hate,its about spreading LOVE through music ...
Sad story that chaos unlimited ceased,such a nice bunch of people, but the main reason would be due to lack of CD sales i guess...
Dream Temple closed as well some months ago and the thing in Uk is that CD sales aint going fine,more and more people downloading and not buying,not many music collectors anymore,and i think the 160 bpms producers you talking about and the numerous labels opening recently would be the last reason for chaos unlimited or any other online shop to close...
To sum up, live and let live, if they worth surviving they will...
And yes amboworld (chaos unlimited sister site) still in business

For me personally this marks the end of an era. First I got my records from Boom, b4 it was a label and always got my music from Chaos. The ppl @ chaos were always top notch as ppl with me and defenitelly it is personally sad for me to see this business go. I just can send them all my love and wish them the best of luck with everything they do. They deserve the best. All good things must come to an end, but only to let new and beautiful endeavors to happen. |

pretty sad news really.
Was one of the 1st psy online shops ive buy my music.
And for sure on of the reasons are the continously decreasing sales.

FUCK YOU TOO, When are you going to get that it is not the labels, music, ppl. It is a transformation and as I said in other threads, psy trance as it is has not evolved in the past 3 years, because we are reaching a point where everything has been done within the traditional contruct filled with stylistic rules and rigid traditional concepts. We have isolated ourselves as a separate electronic entity and lived within a box... but ppl are heading to another realm, it is life. We change. Now instead of buying 200 or 300 $ in psy and buy it in other styles of music which now attract me more, not because psy is bad, but because I want change. And with me there are many that chose the same route.

Offthenutboom you tottally lost what i wanted to say here.
Sales are in huge crisis not because people leave psy trance aside and focus on other kinds of music BUT because today we got more than 800 labels most of them on a very very amateur level that flood the market and confuse the people and take sales out of the labels that deserve them.
We got labels that sell no more than 300-400 copies and they still manage to survive in this market simply because they pay no money to their artists (they just want to see their name somewhere anyway),no expenses for cover artwork and mastering and no promotion at all ofcourse.These labels have nothing to offer and they exist just to destroy everyone else who has something to offer to this small scene.Their only reason of existence is their owners and artists vanity to become famous and make some money if possible.
When you got 500 labels out there who work on such a basis then half the market is spoiled and the sales for the ones that really invest in this kind of music and the ones that really need them are just gone.
There are more than enough people to support this small scene,i mean one can hold a serious label by selling 2500 copies which is not a big number but when the supply is much much more than the demand then the good buys loose first and then the bad guys will dissapear afterwards too.
