I'm second with Dennis. It is easy to bash each other, isnt it? I must say that those commercial music killed psytrance. CU could've choose whatever they wanted to make stock and distribute.

Life is made by choice so as Chaos Unlimited.
Farewell.

I've noticed that Saikosounds looks not so active as they do not have any pending arrivals. Maybe some will follow due to the decrease of sales.

sad about chaos unlimited, another working partner falls.

And sad about the falling sales too, its getting harder to keep making those CDs, but then again, theres plenty of other ways these days. Cd market will eventually share faith with vinyls and become minor.           www.myspace.com/michaelbanel

Fucking idiots...

huh? are u serious? who made u the authority to decide whats an ok b.p.m or makes good psy?? or if its ok for people to do whatever they can to release there friends and there music??? and how can a "scene" with a "monopoly" over releases be a "once wonderful scene"???

Like me there are many ppl that are feeling the same way. Some moved to chill, some left the scene all together... others download the music. It is all the these factors and not the ppl trying to build their own happiness that affect it. Face it, evolve or die.

so true it hurts!

this scene have very defined tastes, they know what they like and what they don't like....The issue here is that labels are going to have work a little harder to promote their product then no? that's how markets adapt. people need to stop seeing every small change as thread and rather an opportunity. Imagine for one second, those 8000 labels that are being created, actually released 'good psy' according to your book... wouln't that be 1000 times worse ?

Are labels in the business of selling plastic cd's or selling music? diversify, diversify, diversify...

Right!

On 31 of August Chaos Unlimited will officially stop existing.

Cosmophillia closed its doors just some time ago and now the biggest online shop in UK and one of the major online shops in the psy trance scene follows the same path.

I do agree... except for the 160bpm part, there are as many if not even more shit fullon and fluffy labels also.

FUCK YOU TOO, When are you going to get that it is not the labels, music, ppl. It is a transformation and as I said in other threads, psy trance as it is has not evolved in the past 3 years, because we are reaching a point where everything has been done within the traditional contruct filled with stylistic rules and rigid traditional concepts. We have isolated ourselves as a separate electronic entity and lived within a box... but ppl are heading to another realm, it is life. We change. Now instead of buying 200 or 300 $ in psy and buy it in other styles of music which now attract me more, not because psy is bad, but because I want change. And with me there are many that chose the same route.

So fuck you with your ignorant rethoric...

I agree with you too

yeah detox, ure acting like a spoiled kid. as said before how can u think, your (outdated) music preference is the final word! man u really need to work that ego! You think the cd consumer is deaf dumb and stupid, and blaming other labels is just plain bullshit. but its easier to accept that you screwed up. This is the effects of the evolution of the digital music business. adapt or die. just die.

i think detox need to open new distro. just for prog , and may be also its own forum .. exposuretrance

dont be mad detox , if your style was realy better , you wouldnt cry for sell less , and for many young artist trying to make it in their own way.

mind your business , after all this posts i think you could sell atleast 100 more cd's if you would put your time into that.

Wipe the tears of your faces for a few seconds, and don't forget the tough competition Chaos Unlimited got from a lot of the newer online psytrance shops. I've bought CD's online for several years but only ordered from Chaos Unlimited once. Why? - As I see it there where several better alternatives in terms of several factors like prices, ease of use and range of products in stock.           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Profane keep in mind though that Chaos had a big advantage in a big market like the UK one from its competitors. You know short delivery time, lower shipping cost and in many occasions lower prices           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Whatever with chaosunlimited they dont solve any purpose in india any which way.

But my view on the topic is That more and more "new" labels are coming out hell i can start my own label if i want it seems. More labels then artists in few countries...psy trance is evolving its become a business (which is good) money is the key factor here a driving force. small time labels are releasing compilation with 1-2 well known and its working for them. i personally listen to samples on saikosounds or other site's and then make a decision as to what i need....and its ok isn't it ?? why are people buying comp's it blindly for what reasons. all the artists are changing their creativity looking into new things and one doesnt have to buy a album cause his favourite artist is in the compilation. I might not like the latest iron madness track but the old one's were good just like what DETOX has in mind favouring what "it" was then what it is.

Detox - back to your original point - what about guys that come from my country, NZ, never get exposure over here and the scene is not big enough to support labels and distribution of releases, only of reselling CD's...

Guys like C.O.S.M who recently was given the huge opportunity to play at BOOM - has never sold music in his life, so he gives it away and supplements his income by getting bookings the original way - sending in demos of his live - and he is not making music at 160 BPM....rather more chunky and funky like that....
