For the benefit of ANYONE who may still be (or ever was) offended, upset, annoyed, alienated, or confused by my usage of the phrase "Fuck Off" in an "English sense," I offer the following suggestion (since I'm not British):

Listen to The Melovskys' "Evolution #9." Listen again and again until you're sure you understand the "British sense" of using the phrase "Fuck Off." If, after at least 10 listenings, you do not understand or are still angry, feel free to contact me.

Interestingly enough, I believe the Melovskys are from Mexico. So, they have a Russian-sounding name, and they're sampling a British movie. Given the coolness of this track (and its effective use of movie samples), I personally think they are qualified to use "Fuck Off" in whatever sense they wish, no matter their race or country of origin.

That is all, thanks!

My friend just for the info for almost one year already that Penta is booked to play at Love Fest. This year love fest was made exatly the same date as last year (even with that the Sybiosis organizers change they own date to coincide with it).
Second of all Penta was invited to play at symbiosis, thing that i declined since he was booked long long ago.

Quote"The reason behind my comment was pretty much to wonder why all those people weren't out there at Angel's Camp with us, dancing up a shitstorm, why they bothered to do what they did, what inspired it, and why they chose it. Maybe they're fortunate enough to live in San Francisco and they can go see Simon Posford and X-Dream anytime they want. I heard it was because a bunch of the darkpsy people BOYCOTTED Symbiosis this year because not enough of them were booked.

"That's their prerogative, and I won't hate on anyone who boycotts (do it myself occasionally but try not to and to always give people a chance). But really - BOO HOO. Maybe the GoaPlay people had something VERY specific in mind for their lineup this year. It certainly appears so, and it appears that they were VERY successful in making it happen the way they wanted it to. Cheers GoaPlay!"

Call it boicot call it if you want...
People have diferent tastes my friend you just have to accept it.
Even if there was no Love Fest-After Party(one of best partys i attent in my life) i will not drive to Angels Camp to see any artist that perform there the by the simple fact that theyre music is not enjoyable for me at all (even tough some of them are my friends).

hi catia,
i just want to clarify that just because lovefest happened on the same date as last year does not mean that it was booked a year in advance. we (symbiosis) actually worked really hard to try to coordinate with lovefest when we were both planning dates, in january. it just worked out with some last second changes and bureaucratic red tape that lovefest deals with being in the city, the dates conflicted. it's true we wanted to book penta, but he was already involved with lovefest when we contacted him. we hope everyone had a great time at both events and we are thankful there's enough to go around.
much love

geeze...that is quite a rumor, that is completely false! . what did any of us ever to to you that would give such an negative impression? we all go to many parties we are not booked at! in fact most artists that went to the love parade were not booked there........

the people i know who did not go to symbosis did not go because

1. they could not afford it and/or
2. the love parade more suited their musical tastes

the love parade is on this weekend. as far as i know it scheduled to be there way before symbosis. it is not fair and totally ridiculous to accuse the people who organized the psy-trance float/ and room at the after-party of being dividing the community. they have been doing this for three years now. it is basically an annual tradition as far as i can tell.

never have i heard such snide reactions from people who attended a party against others that chose not to go. this is totally outrageous. i have a really hard time believing that is was such a magical healing experience for the community when so many of the attendents return upset and saying mean things to non-attendents for not attending. it is certainly not helping to encourage me to check out any GOA play events in the future......

just to restate that we both booked dates at the same time and this was just unfortunate that they coincided.

also - GOA Play did not produce Symbiosis. some of the core crew are also in GOA Play, but that's it. most of the main organizers are from a wide variety of backgrounds and i just wanted to clarify that...

"Why the hell is all this talk of unity sparking so much disunity. Oh yeah, Nick got excited and said too much. Oh well, he means no offense. Listen, had the GoaPlay people booked a lineup of nothing but dark-psy, I wouldn't have gone, even if the price had been half what I paid. I like happy trance. That's all there is to it. And I think that's what mainly happened here. I don't think anyone boycotted this show, but I do know the promoters were expecting a lot more support from the trance community. I doubt they made back even half of what they put into it. "

People are saying this party is about unity and bringing the psychedelic community together. but seriously people, let's be honest with ourselves because it really was not.

Even though they did book many other genres of psychedelic music, it is a fact that they did not configure the trance lineup to bring people who are into the deeper, heavier types of trance music. They did this, and it excluded a really large percentage of the community. The consequence was that many people were not attracted to the lineup and preferred to go someplace else....a very obvious outcome if you ask me.......if they want to blame someone for the fact that they did not get as many people as they were hoping they should take a look at themselves, rather than lashing out at the people they excluded. it is really unrealistic to ask people to pay $100 and risk their vechiles and lives driving up a mountain to go to a party that does not cater in the least bit to their musical and dancing needs.

and for the record i seriously do not care who GOA play books. i don't expect or hope for them to ever book an artist i like. they are doing their thing, and I respect this. i know all those guys and most of them are really lovely and kind hearted people. we just have different tastes and that's totally cool. i really appreciate what they are doing. i am glad those that did go had such an awsome time.

PEACE!!!!

even if you know 'all those guys' in GOA Play, that's still only one person in the symbiosis crew. i really wish people would realize that.... we don't want to get dragged into all this GOA Play ploitics when we're really trying to do something fresh and new. and basically it's not easy without a whole broad lot of trancers of every genre on board. we're workin on it.
