I found it! Some of the most inspirational song lyrics I've ever heard. Even Hahn The Barbarian was able to appreciate THIS one. I dedicate this lyrical re-telling to my girlfriend and everyone else in my life who has inspired me to be the best I can be. I dedicate it to the fine musicians who have inspired me over the years.

"Welcome To The Pleasuredome"
Frankie Goes To Hollywood

[Mostly instrumental]

The world is my oyster
Ha ha ha ha ha ........

Yeah yeah

The world is my oyster
Ha ha ha ha ha ........

Yeah yeah

The world is my oyster
Ha ha ha ha ha ........

Yeah yeah

The world is my oyster
Ha ha ha ha ha ........

Yeah yeah

The world is my oyster
Ha ha ha ha ha ........

Yeah yeah

The world is my oyster
Ha ha ha ha ha ........

Yeah yeah

The world is my oyster........
Ha ha ha ha ha........

The animals are winding me up
The jungle call
The jungle call

Who-ha who-ha who-ha who-ha

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A pleasuredome erect
Moving on keep moving on-yeah
Moving at one million miles an hour
Using my power
I sent it by the hour
I have it so I'm mocking it
You really can afford it-yeah
Really can afford it

Shooting stars never stop
Even when they reach the top
Shooting stars never stop
Even when they reach the top

[Repeat]

There goes a supernova
What a pushover-yeah
There goes a supernova
What a pushover

[Repeat]

We're a long way from home
Welcome to the Pleasuredome
On our way home
Going home where lovers roam
Long way from home
Welcome to the Pleasuredome

Moving on
Keep moving on

I will give you diamonds by the shower
Love your body even when it's old
Do it just as only I can do it
And never ever doing what I'm told

Keep moving on
Got to reach the top

Don't stop
Pay love and life-oh my
Keep moving on
On again-yeah

Shooting stars never stop
Shooting stars never stop

Shooting stars never stop
Even when they reach the top
There goes a supernova
What a pushover

[Repeat]

[Repeat 1]

Who-ha who-ha
Welcome to the Pleasuredome

WELCOME........ha ha ha ha ha........

Long way from home
WELCOME TO THE PLEASUREDOME

So now it's the "OMW argument"? It looks more like the "nicksynergy argument" to me. At least one OMW member has posted distancing himself from what nicksynergy is saying, but of course that got buried in the zillion other page long posts by nicksynergy.

I know some of the OMW guys and they arent all manic, they are actually really chill people working hard to bring trance to AZ.

Unfortunatly for them, the rest of the OMW guys are too busy actually doing something for Psytrance to waste time on Isratrance (which is more than I can say for myself LOL) so therefore Nicksynergys posts have come to represent OMW in the eyes of Isratrance users.

hey, I'm sorry my ADD is far too strong for me to read all that is written here, but I must say that it's nice to see so many people so enthusiastic about trance!! I left Canada 2 years ago having never heard trance, until I arrived in Israel and my eyes were opened to a world of such a strong trance culture that I've come back a fiend for the beat!! I don't take it so soooo seriously but I absolutely love dancing and doing basically anything with trance in the brain! I was thinking, before we go out on a quest for "global domination", let's look in our own communities and find more and more of those who love the music and want to take part in the culture, but simply don't know much about it. Also, I am not sure what it is like in North America, but I noticed in Israel every weekend at every nature party nearly everyone there is dancing there friggin' asses off, dancing like no one is watching, and if I see more people that enthusiastic here, well I think that's a sign of good things to come. I was at the Open Air festival in St Fortunat, and loved it, but I felt like me, my girlfriend, and maybe 10 others were really dancing! Hey, everyone's cool to do what they please, but to me it's the mass of people moving that really gets me! Remember, we don't need to push for trance, it'll push itself! If anyone lives near Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario and likes trance, let me know!

"I Won't Back Down"
Tom Petty

Well I won't back down
No I won't back down
You can stand me up at the gates of hell
But I won't back down

No I'll stand my ground, won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from draggin me down
gonna stand my ground
... and I won't back down

Chorus:
(I won't back down...)
Hey baby, there ain't no easy way out
(and I won't back down...)
hey I will stand my ground
and I won't back down

Well I know what's right, I got just one life
in a world that keeps on pushin me around
but I'll stand my ground
...and I won't back down

(I won't back down...)
Hey baby, there ain't no easy way out
(and I won't back down...)
hey I will stand my ground
(I won't back down)
and I won't back down...

(I won't back down...)
Hey baby, there ain't no easy way out
(I won't back down)
hey I won't back down
(and I won't back down)
hey baby, there ain't no easy way out
(and I won't back down)
hey I will stand my ground
(and I won't back down)
and I won't back down
(I won't back down)
No I won't back down...

I'm breathing, man, trust me. Myself and everyone around me are seeing to it. I'm not really any different than the person you met on NYE - really. Just a better version of him (IMHO). And no, WAR is really not what I'm calling for. Resistance to oppression by means of education, yes, but not war. Really.

It seems to be working, sir. Fear is lost and hope is gained. I call that some kind of success.

hehe not exactly what you expected to get yourself into huh? anyway please allow me to express my apoligies to you publicly for any offensive remarks i may have made about you're vision, my vision, (i think everyones vision, if they'll admit it or not). whatever you need from me let me know.

it seems very strange after reading the first post that anyone would have anything negative to say at all. if it seems realistic or not or any other word you wanna use, its a beautiful idea. and it should be used as inspiration. or has everyone forgotten that we are artist, visionary's, beautiful people...           --><--IT IS EXTREMLY ADDICTIVE CONTENT, THE START OF A NEW BEGINING---><---

Well, thank you very much for that. I've gotten a lot of positive AND negative feedback - both have helped a great deal in solidifying my ideas on this matter (and on many other matters). I have integrated all feedback and it's only made me stronger, more inspired, and more committed.

Wanted to write at many occasions but never got time as thread was growing too fast. Some really enlightening (!!!) facts for somebody only active in east coast.
Hats off to all!

Just pulled out all text from this thread into unix editor to find how many times 'I', 'MY' & 'You' word is been used. First time seeing UNIX hanged just by a simple VI command!!

Big Boom from NYC

Quote-1
Genuine politics -- even politics worthy of the name -- the only politics I am willing to devote myself to -- is simply a matter of serving those around us: serving the community and serving those who will come after us. Its deepest roots are moral because it is a responsibility expressed through action, to and for the whole.

Quote-2 (may be Nick u will like it!!)
My will shall shape the future. Whether I fail or succeed shall be no man's doing but my own. I am the force; I can clear any obstacle before me or I can be lost in the maze. My choice; my responsibility; win or lose, only I hold the key to my destiny.

Alright, here it is:

-------------------------------------

Global Trance Network

Mission Statement (Rough Draft)

Global Trance Network aspires to create the ultimate entertaining and useful resource for the trance community. It seeks to provide:

1.) Information - information on any topic that ultimately concerns trance or the freedom/right to trance. Texts will be submitted and linked to provide real-life examples of the positive benefits that trance culture (and the many aspects of it) bring to human civilization. Resources will be provided to allow everyone within the trance community to work inside and outside "the system" to achieve the freedom that everyone needs in order to flourish. Concepts that are alternative to established systems of thought will be showcased in order to give options to the trance culture and to freedom-loving people who care to happen upon this site. A directory of legal services will eventually be listed in order to provide assistance to people in the trance community in times of trouble/need, wherever they are at the time. In time, the site will host a message board, blog, numerous informational sections, and a plethora of links to other information.

2.) Music - This section will start small by hosting some mixes/recordings for DJs/artists in the trance community. Evetually, this section will have a host of other resources regarding trance music (and other genres), such as reviews, information to help aspiring musicians, links to information on as many different artists as can be identified, etc. Obviously the details of hosting anyone's mixes or original music will have to be hashed out in a way that they are respectful to copyrights and intellectual property (but that shouldn't be difficult).

3.) Shopping - in order to help pay for the site, GTN is currently planning to sell T-shirts, books, and anything else that is interesting and can be marketed to the trance community.

4.) Humor - gotta have it. Period. GTN will work to ensure that there is insightful stuff on its site that many people can laugh at, in all areas.

-------------------------------------

This will be re-worded and made much more cohesive and extensive than it is (it's gonna have to be if I'm to be comfortable with having it on the site), but I wanted to post something up here that will give folks an idea of where I'm starting and what I'm shooting for.
