Was all nite at the dancefloor and then Skimo started and i didn't leave dancefloor til 5pm...was knacked at the end!!!!

For most people Freedom annhililated Boom in terms of lineup, and Boom annihilated Freedom in almost everything else.
In the end I prefer Freedom because it made me fly day after day with that beautiful sound. Boom, well, it was some great holydays for chilling out.
For me Freedom 2007 = Boom 2002. So I think in some years Crystal Matrix will be probably one of the best festivals in the world, if not the best. They just need to keep improving. ;D

i mean this with that woman is a really sad story indeed and i feel really sorry for it. but people should show more responsability and respect towards drugs.
maybe the police was also more 'on it' 'cause this shamanik fuck up happened before.

Yes im back to Barcelona now and i canīt believe that it simply ended. A dream a wonderful journey that im definately going to repeat.
Our camp was a rich diversity of ppl: 3 from Portugal, 2 from Egypt, 6 from Lebanon, and 1 from South Africa
This Festival Was the biggest happening this year i suppose, amazing positive vibes amazing people from lots of different countries. I was amazed how safe and how organized it was. The festival was complete it had everything.. from shops, work shops, yoga, massaj, big camping area, water tanks, showers toilets, supermarket, cultural tent, restaurants, a lake, big parking area, internet tent, chill out, places for chrging phones, kids section, and many more.. BIG thanx to the municipality of Elvas and freedom organizers for making everything as easy as possible.
Incredbile line up.. my best where : Vibe tribe , 40% , Talamasca, Sub 6, Eskimo, Ace ventura, Paul Taylor, Psy craft, Sirius isness, Peter Didjital..
I was disappointed with Atmos and Absolum
Chill out area and the cultural tent where my favourite places ... Chill out : where u can lay down and listen to amazing sets and look at the sky... what i didnt like is that there was lots of repetition of the same tracks but didnt matter much ..
Cultural tent WOW .. sessions in the morning, workshops afternoon and documentaries at night.. all about meditation, brain fitness, trance dance, laughing yoga, yantras and mantras and so much more rich information...
Decoration was impressive but cud of been more...
All in all Freedom Festival was one of the best days in my like .. the crew did a wonderful job and it was a total success.. no matter how much i talk about it.. it wont help, words are extremely week when compared to the whole experience.

About the Police and the drugs... well, they were doing their job and frankly they caught me with some and they didn't give me any problems because I get high once an year these days. They respected that and let me go, but at the same time a car came full of "crack heads" and the police dragged them out of the car because they wouldn't step out. Different people, different attitudes. But the police were pretty nice guys, had a great conversation with them.

People hv this bad capacity to let personal feelings compromised the reviews.
There was times where Boom had a commercial ( if you consider comercial the top artists and djs) line upīs as well but there was many changes since than and Boom org choose to highlight the cultural area giving to the people a diferent kind of music and tht is because THEY CAN.
Boom have a strong name worlwide they donīt need line upīs to be a strong festival. they are wht they deserv to be the best in the scene. they acchive a positon tht no other organization hv, they almost make the rulez in the psy trance scene. And freedom festival is more oriented to the dancefloor and you guys canīt say its all comercial because there are music for every taste.
Artistīs like ace ventura beckers & d-nox talamasca Cristoph aka absolum, atmos, peter digital and many otherīs played for boom festival also, and no one said it was a commercial line up back than.
So we are living in a time where people are afraid to like "seeling artistīs" , itīs much cooller to like underground music. every artistīs were underground before becoming psytrance super stars and the oneīs tht are underground now days belive me - are trying everything they can to hv their celebrity moment and once they get it, this kind of people will called them commercial actīs bla bla bla.
XP is a guy tht is in this scene for a while now, he saw all the evolution and he have his personlīs opinionīs, maybe they arenīt the right oneīs or maybe they are but the real thing itīs the fact tht itīs only his opinionīs samething tht he gathered from his expirience. And this is a fact he have a lot of expirience in this area maybe much more than everyone else tht is here complaing with him because donīt agree whit him or donīt like his music or maybe donīt like his personality.

everyone's got diferent tastes and opinions.it's up to all of us to respect that.
Anyways, freedom was the festival that i enjoyed the most so far in my life!Perphaps i was just in a happy happy mood for 6 days straight!
And i really liked ur set XP, although i have to admit that i couldnt dance loads cause i was knacked!why did u have to be playing on the last day ?! hehe!
have been following u on the forum and was looking forward to listen to u! well done!

I don't like the words XP uses, in this and other topics, but I agree with him 100% about the music at Boom. Not only me but almost everyone I know. Not only that but at freedom I met a really nice old guy and after a long conversation he tells me he was part of the Boom organisation. And I tell him, "well, Boom is something else, great organisation but the sound... no one I knew liked it." And he looks at me and replies, "yes, that sound was not so great, and I hear this from a lot of people. I don't know what went wrong in the organisation."
To tell you the truth, besides people from Isratrance I don't know a single person who liked the sound at Boom. maybe I live in another planet , don't know.
Besides, if you ask around what was the favourite Boom I think 90% will say a date between 1997 and 2002.
In the end we are discussing these topics because we love our festivals and want them to become better and better and experience even more beautiful days. If we didn't care about these festivals we wouldn't waste our time writing these words.

Exactly well said the topic is not about the comparisions between 2 festivals...... as far is music is concerned its like beauty its in the eye of the beholder.... ALL YOU PEOPLE ARE FORGETING THE MEANING BEHIND ALL THESE WONDERFUL GATHERINGS ITS CERTAINLY NOT NEGITIVITY AND THE LAST FEW POSTS ARE SO NEGITIVE COME ON LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF THINGS....

as usual, always will be some one to complain...
i was only 2 days in the fest, and i had great time, lots of ppl from lots of diffrent places.. good vibes around and everybody smilies..
i think the music was very variated, everybody can be happy, the festival had everything, from minimal to maximal full on , dark and prog etc..etc.. each person had something he like in the lineup.
very good production, congrads Carlos and crystal matrix crew!

as the time goes by... all the gatherings and reunions that i had after freedom with my friends, conversations, memories and laughs, all end up talking about freedom !!!
damm... its pretty dificul to get back from cucu land when you were everywhere else.... except "earth" !
as i read the posts from xp voodoo and all the others bitching around... i wonder: was the festival so bad that you can say one or two good things about it ? can the, bitching guys not to bitch and do a review saying the likes and dislikes... or was the freedom festival 07, such a crappy festival that doesnt diserves any likes ????
well... for me it does... and i would say that 98% the festival was superb, amazing, thrilling, bombastic, boombastic, wonderful, so on... and so on !
XP ... next freedom i have we have to meet and hang around !!!  you'll introduce me yours friends for me to have a veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy f*ckin short idea, of what you guys can do for fun ! at the beginning of you set, you were desperated to smoke a joint... next edition i'll be you personal joint roller !!! ahahhahahah
really... i love u... as i love stas, cedric and all you big deck commanders... and i would love to be on the stage seeing what is like to have a huge insane croud on the palm of your hand...
