I have checked on some of the psy-trance female artists/dj's to check something about their music and their projects but I don't know why, everytime I go to to their sites I pass most of the time checking their photos gallerys (sungirl, gabi, yo-yo) - and god damn, they're all pretty! i think it's really important to have those girls playing at parties, first of all because of the talent and originality at the most of their acts and second because girl artists atracct more girls into the scene - it's time to support and incentive female acts! what is your opinion about this? don't you think diversity is important to the party? - it is a silly topic but it is still important... I personally would feel offended to have more recognition as a DJ/Producer simply due to the fact I was female.
Unless I'm mistaken, most female DJs like everybody else want to be recognized for their mad skillz and not whether they have a pretty face... |

Who doesnt agree to that? .. But theres no hiding the fact that looks helps in serten life situations. But this is a DJ, who cares how the DJ looks, exept one thing. The worse he/she looks. The better impression it gives me. Like Sungirl and Xanomorph. They look like they play, and I love that.

I'm in full agreement that there needs to be diversity in the music. But I also honestly feel that nobody should be treated any differently than others because their nationality, beliefs, sex, or sexual preferences. I'd rather be known for my skills as a dj and producer, than as an African-American dj and producer.

Mubali, you will be known as both *you should, and I'm sure you are, proud of it*
Just one thing: I was smoking and chillin' with some africans on Sunday talking about music. I spoke about my psy passion and psychedelic substances. I asked why so few "africans" (living in US, Europa ect) dont fancy psy. Why so few "black" people love mushrooms, acid and the likes. he said that most brothers are afraid of it, that it wasnt in their mind nor blood to do psychedelic. No, they prefered the reefer. I guess your not scared of psy, are you Mubali ;*)
*keep up the twisted music*

Let's stop the racial pejoratives while we're ahead ok? Most "brothers" may not listen to trance compared to us "crackers" but let's not make any sweeping generalizations either. As a matter of fact, it would be best to drop the whole race card right now. |
