I just came back from the sonica festival were there was one of the best line up ever! I really had a great time mostly in the chillout area because the Trance area was so commercial! Everytime i went to the dancefloor i was amazed by trance people dancing to this fullon music were the beat is trance and the melodies are stupid. It looked all so fake, which made me think that maybe all that once was is now lost...Then i thought about the chillout again and hehehehe well i realised that trance is creativity and the chillout right now is the real trance music, i congratulate all Ultimae records for giving us what we are looking for in the music! Serious well made clean production for the voyage of the mind to beautiful places...
I just wanted to share this with all of Isratrance to let people know what we think about eveyrthing right now so maybe one day it will change to be a unity between styles in one serious production of mind body and soul with voyage through music and visuals and nature!

ganjagil, Just convert no progressive and tech like I did. I always loved these styles but not as much as now. For me these styles are the true meaning of Psy Trance. These styles are safe form money greed, and 'Artists' who make music just to travel the world and not to make the listeners travel in theirs imagination.
Stupid melodies and simple conventional music are not Trance; but there are still few good full on artists there.

sorry man thats not true....nothing is safe from these kind of vibes....i love prog' tech and minimal but there wankers everywhere! i do think that these geners are more inovative and creative.....

Basically you are right. But so far, so good. There is no prog/tech commercial artist with a rock star attitude or lollypop music.

Basically you are right. But so far, so good. There is no prog/tech commercial artist with a rock star attitude or lollypop music.

Come on, throwing Skazi and others like him in the same sack of all full on producers is a bit too much.
There are a lot of good full on producers, just check the Twisted or Neurobiotic releases, the problem is that their music is not played at parties, so avoid these parties...
IMO most of the problem is with the parties organizers, who book mostly big stars to pack their parties full of people, which means $$$$$$...
For example, Beckers and D-Nox are booked all the time, specially now after Switch... But many other progressive acts are also excellent, but not booked, maybe because they did not release a "party toy track"...
So that's the problem, party organizers sell big hits to a crowd who wants to hear big hits, I wonder why the name is still psychedelic trance instead of "big hits trance"...
To make things worse, labels like Hom-Mega Records, Com.Pact Records and Utopia Records (to name a few) found out that they can make a party in Rio with 15.000 people, the next day one in São Paulo with 30.000 people, the next day one in Brasília with 12.000 people and the next day one in Porto Alegre with 10.000 people, so in one week they get rich, so we in Brazil are drowned in this commercial wave...
But don't worry, since proggy is now the new fashion wave, they always have one or two progressive acts (like beckers or D-Nox) to close their parties...
Is there any other country in which you can earn as much money with psytrance in the world?
This is what I call fake $cene...
