The way I see it, the last thing we should care about is how we look to people outside the scene. If they like to think of us as a bunch of drug users (whether it's true or not) then so be it. Cause even without the drug issue they think that our music sounds like noise and and that dancing in the woods rather in a club is just plain stupid.
We create our own music and produce our own parties and we don't need any favours from the media, authorities or whatever.

well dude i have to disagree with u .....
this thread was never about 'are drugs a part of our scene'
its just a thread to get a consensus on whether the growing popularity of drug samples in tracks is bad for the scene and does it encourage drug usage /or promote it
also u say that we should not care about society..coz they think of us as drug users..
well isnt it our responsiblity to change this misconception of the society
well its easy to say i dont care what society thinks of the scene but have u ever thouhgt of the repercussions............
because what they think of the scene today(society) often parties are raided by the cops..we are looked upon with suspicion and also in some countries our music is referred to as the DEVILS music
at a party in my city the narcotics cops came and raided the rave....they trated the fellow ravers so badly....they were beating them up ..throwing them on the floor....treating them worst then animals
the media plays an important part in messing up our scene....they are the ones who project a bad , decadent image of our scene to society
so all these factors ....society ,media are important
