Don`t know..i have never tried the cronox 2..but since its a simple version update..i guess the sound library will be the same almost..and i don`t think they changed the way the osc sound or the filters, i don`t see the point that an update makes it worse..

but don`t know..i`m pretty satisfied actualy..

I can't help but to be skeptical. I don't think this is going to help you... both version are good there is an obvious improvement on the master versions but noneless the bass is always there.

Anyhow keep working on it, follow ido's advice these are excellent. That's really the only serious bass thread here.

I learned a lot from it the rest was from hardwork, and patience.

 cheers

						hey guys

I´ve been playing around with kick and bass and Im stucked with the subbass...

a sample just to make the things clear..

 www.kehl.ind.br/sample.mp3

I reached this bassline... As u can hear, it has the main "skills" like note velocities, compressor, EQ, etc, kick in the same note (done at soundforge)... buuuutt... if u hear it in a system that has a good subwoofer, u wont feel that subbass that has in pros basslines..

Like E-Jekt said to my friend "ask mcdonnalds owner if he tells u their secret"

Yeah, Im looking for the skill, how to reach that, not the secret itself...

Im trying to do like Ido said in this topic, a sine wave in group with my bassline, but every tip that I tried... it destroyed my bass...

 Tried mda subsynth, no lucky...

 Any ideias?

You can obviously layer with a sine for subbass but I've read many many times that people will just fake the sub bass power with something like Waves RBass. Works for me. |

						Thanks nomad..

I saw that... lets see if I understand the method (I think is the same that I was trying): create another channel with a subbass synth (but witch one?), low pass only lower freqs, sidechain with the kick...

 Something like this?

 Thanks |

						nop..

there is absolutely No need of creating another additional channel... this will just duplicate all of your work to the other channel... fx chain, midi, breaks.. lol.. too much

just Split your bass channel into 2 different sends. if you work in cubase you will have to follow the tutorials here of how to make stereo sidechain in cubase or just read the electrypnose tutorial in his page , so just highpass this send (can be with eq, or with quadrafuzz or whatever you like), it is the send where the kik "ghost" will trigger the sidechain for the low conflicting frequencies.
on the other send of your bass just lowpass it to your taste (it can be from 300hz, but also it can be 1000hz or more, it depends from the bas itself) and voila! one bass channel splited into 2, without any need of duplicating channels, midis, etc...

 hope you got it

 thanks d-alien for ur patient...

 I work with ableton...
But will try something like that..

Another question is.. If I split my bass into 2 sends... ok, I will have one with subbass and another with higher freqs... but, the subbass will come from my original ABL2 synth, wich I dont reach real good subbass.... is that right?

Thanks guys for the infos here, u have my respect... (and everyone that is learning with u) |
