I have a question i would like to ask you all:

how do you like the dj to act when he is on stage?

1. do you like A dj that is jumping up and down, from one side to another... screaming along with the crowed...dancing like he was on the floor...etc...

2. do you like a DJ that is more mellow. he does moves and dance, but not in a crazy way like the first one.

3. do you like a DJ that is MR. ICE. he basically acts like he is coming to work. he goes on stage, does his thing, and goes home. and at the end of his set, you are amazed about how could he act so cool about music that pumping.

when you answer, please consider the fact that all three DJs have brilliant music, and their mix is perfect.

further suggestions are welcome.

BOOM.
          I just farted ;-)

I Like #2 better. a DJ who's too much involved can cause one of the following: by dancing too hard, he can cause the CDJs/technics to skip, jump or even stop completely; if he's too much into the music he spins, he might forget to beat-match or even mix in the next track. i've seen it happen, people. it's not a pretty sight...
I like it when artists become emerged in their live shows. you can really see who shines and who bums when you see a live act. for example, reflections, a live act trance band, gets so completely immersed in the music that they just start improvising on the spot. it's a real treat, i tell you. Infected, for instance, to me, is a pure joy of seeing pros at work, not getting too mixed up, they manage to pull off one of the best live acts i've yet to hear.
and yes. i don't think anyone likes to have the Iceman for a DJ. brrr!           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

# 2 sounds best for me! I like Djs that do their moves when they do a great mix, when the crowd goes nuts because of certain music he plays. Interaction with the crowd is very important to me.

In the last festival i went, Lotus Omega played and after their live they just left. Etnica, on the other hand, was jumping with the crowd, setting the dancefloor in flames. The crowd always responds to the artists behavior IMO.

The thing I like most is that only the artists know exactly how the music will come out so they can express the music through their hands and body. I just love that...

#2, a like DJs that move and dance together with the crowd, but never forgeting their profissionalism. I mean, he can dance as long as he can do his mixes with the best quality as possible.

Coming to a party is like coming to a rock concert. I wanna see performance in addition to the music.

Sometimes, when the feeling is right, I just love to get out of the DJ box and dance with the crowd for a few minutes, and then run again to the box for the mixing.
It's a way to understand the vibe & mood of the ppl.
It can be dangerous if your cd starts to jump, but fortunately never hapened to me.

The ultimate DJ behavior in my opinion, is for the DJ to act how he feels. Like I dance how I feel, the DJ should "flow" with his feelings and not to think what will drive the crowd crazy and then act according to it.
