To distinguish some styles:
VA - In Plants We Trust is an outstanding compilation with very talented artists. Highly psychedelic. Forest trance.
VA - Inner Venom isn't my cup of tea but artists had some good and original ideas. Very experimental. Flavored with industrial and noise elements.
Malice in Wonderland - Mad Moments is yet another style of night-time psy. It's very good but quite monotonous. 2to6 Records. I don't know how to call it
VA - Freaks United sounds interesting but I'm not sure if I'm feeling this style. Twisted humor with high speed and lots of changes that can seem chaotic if ones not paying full attention. I'm not sure but is it full power psy?
CPC - Subliminal Messages. For me the best album of previous year. Very original and with lots of new sounds. For me, this is the direction that more artists should follow. Maybe someone can recommend something similar? |

I'm not wealthy but it's one of few albums that I can afford buying. And it'll go into my small collection. 100% guaranteed! |

I FINALLY got the Psykovsky - Da Budet in my hands, and I'm tempted to say that this stuff is totally in the Hi-Tech PsyCore box, and I'd like to call this album Expsy = Experimental Psychedelia. Man, this stuff is out of bouncy, wonder if and when I will realize/catch the overall story/message of the 'Da Budet' (In Norwegian, this title reminds me of something allà 'Budbringeren' which translates into 'The Messenger').
DarkPsy
Forest
Swampdance
Mudflood
PsyCore
Horror
NightGoa
SickGlitch-Psy'n'Rolla
TwilightedTrancendance
Squeekypie
Expsy
Slugpie (yummi)
YggdraSounds
NightmareFlight
Flipflap
Deepmeep
Weird'n Scared
+102 that CPC - Subliminal Messages is like one of the most breathtaking albums out there,
really stunning music for the brain and body
*I didn't vote for it because I only have it on mp3,
but hope to get the original one day!

So it looks like CPC being one of the best? Can someone recommend me something similar?
Now I've changed my mind. This album isn't the best of 2009. It's my all-time best psychedelic album ever! Maybe only Coil, an industrial experimental group can beat this one. |

there is nothing similar to vlad cpc...
he is a very odd and individual person. magical and yet as normal as a rock... impossible to duplicate.
he is the only person i know who likes to make small electrical repairs to his soundcard while its open with wires exposed while making a track at the same time..
he uses 10 million layers in a track yet somehow managed to make this sound totally clean and tight like one peice.
the guys in moscow never recognized him for the genius until one day he just showed up with a finished album and said 'here'... he was their engineer for years and was considered not as musical but more like a helper but PLUNK! hes a genius it turns out...
so much for first impressions...
full credit for this amazing (if heavy ) album
really cool cover art also...

there are some different subgenres into darkpsy (hitech / horror / psycore / forest , etc) and the difference in each one is the perception of anyone
4 me, the music is only perception of others life moment that i live... the trutly artist that can make rebirth this moment again in a 6-8 minutes track this person is really artist,, make me feel the flow ( a really sensation of life) in every genre and transform the all the psychedelic sounds in simply microperceptions of a trip more complex...
i know new artist of different darkpsy styles that i recomend for listen, feel & xperiment
EniChkin - Avatar music (Deeper dark)
Will O Wisp - Dark prisma recs (Experiemntal-forest-hitech Really goo0d)
Tricossoma - Geomagnetic.tv (forest mud dark)
Zombie Scream - Kamino recs (industial-dark
Ender Nation Project (Kasatka & Calyptratus) - ??? recs (power darkhightech)
Farebi Jarebi - ?? recs) (forest-tribal)
and for the old school trippeople
Horror Place (Phreex network) - Horror dark
Furious / Crazy Astronaut (??? recs) - supertrip
The Nommos - Avatar Music - Tribal Deepdark
Whicked Hayo - Night Oracle recs - Hightech nightpsy (not old school)
