It's strange because I hated this style half a year ago, but then I went on a one-month-festival-tour of the Europe (in the summer), and during some of my mind expanding experiences I had to hear this style because that was what was being played at many festivals in the night. I now enjoy the mayhem feeling, or to be a little bit childish; I have been lured to the dark-side.

Dark Trance is yet another example on how this scene's root's are totally gone. It used to be about beauty, light ect. Not about darkness and evil creatures. When did our scene become all about scare people on the dancefloor?
Maybe a few too many Dead Metal fans crossed over to our scene? |

handa dark trance is not about evil creatures or anything like that....its a atmosphere which goes well if played during night times......and please dont start this topic here about how the roots are lost and blah blah......listen to artists like jahbo, penta, meteloids, GOW, seroxat etc.....some real ultra psychedelic shit.....

Now this is yet another example on how this forums root's are totally gone. It used to be about beauty, light, friendly comments ect. Not about angry and "dark" comments. When did our forum become all about people feeling anger?

well this is gonna be a little offtopic......but i wanted to express my views on how old timers keep complaining the way goa trance has changed and blah blha.......but dont u see music is all about evolution.....exploring the unknown.....damn yes the sound of music and styles are gonna change with time....otherwise we would be having the same style for like more than 10 years.....iam sure that would be really boring.....take any music style for example.....say rock for instance......now what was rock in the 60s is totally different from what it is now....but its still rock.....instead of complaining life would be much better if we could just remember the old nostalgic days.......iam sure 10 years down the line the present generation of full on and dark trance (as u call it  ) lovers (which i am a part of) would be feeling the same......but rather remember the music than complain about the current styles as music has no boundaries.......its gonna keep on evolving with newer ideas and fresh minds jumping onto the band wagon.......

we really cant do anythin about changin styles as common even as a person what i was 2 years back ,what iam now, and what iill be in the next 2 years is totally different........people change and so does music.....its all the same......
people are always gonna try and experimenting with new sounds and new styles.....its music nature

Sure it's not "dark psy is trance music which gives you a dark evil feeling" like you said ! and having an opinion is one thing and making things up from your mind is another ! and how could you have an opinion about something you don't know about ? !
It's just NIGHT music cause it's played at night with NO CHEEZY melodies, dark of coarse for who is affraid to join the party at night the time that the party starts ! and I never seen people at the parties being agressive like you said "dark and angressive feeling" agian to remind you, that something you don't know about don't try to form an opinion ! talk about after party music if thats what you know about !!!

All I can say is that it was the "old timers" that build the scene. Thanks to them there is a scene today!
Maybe a History lesson would open up your eyes to what ideas this scene was build upon. I have nothing against variety in music but this scene has never been about "booohhhhh we need darkness" as seen in the metal community !
You can claim that dark trance (i refuse to call it psychedelic) has nothing to do with darkness... but just take a good look at many of the bands track titles.. that should give you a hint

Yeah you people are right, dark trance sucks. I'm tired of all these people who like dark psychedelic trance, because as we all know, they're evil. They cause fights, steal, and sacrifice goats to the devil. We dont need new sounds or styles of music, we should just listen to the same exact track(s) over and over writen 6 years ago. I mean, who cares about experimentation, or expanding horizons when we already have some good music, thats all we need.

WTF guys, you are talking like dark psychedelic trance appeared only recently. It has been played since psy trance was psy trance or since goa was goa. Some ppl here think it was only pretty melodies and beeeaaauuutiful pretty music back then. But I have plenty of music which is quite the opposite. So dark crazy psychedelic existed back in those pretty days when ppl went to a party and just doofed without prejudice.

I think its all full on with dark sounds beacuse now it gain alot of populerity and succesess pepole have created a sub gener
drak fullon or dark psy i think its the same fullon formula with alot psy elemnts
