Everybody wants a piece of the fame and fortune
But if you don't like it, don't buy it. We've seen dozens of these topics here already, and has it helped so far? Instead of the utterly useless complaining about the dropping quality (and although I have to agree with most people in this topic), instead use your energy to encourage the new (and old) artists to make more interesting music. Book the interesting artists for parties, do what you can to promote them among friends, and most importantly buy the releases you like.
And remember that all artists have to start somewhere - not everyone is the new Simon Posford from the first release

Let me disagree with you, i don`t think that Dot kite is "bashing all other",he is partly right-the situation is not so good.
Psychedelic trance developing very fast and this situation caused by technologies development and common accessibility to it,maybe it just reached critical level these days?!
We are moving too fast, another substyle growing every week and most of these guys really talentless and not promising just don`t pay attention on them and they will dissapear! It`s still a good few labels and artists around the scene like Kitnam say.
P.S:
Labels that you mentioned closed for different reasons and most of their owners running othesr successfull projects

@greenglas
in the first tread dot kide said those things in a very bad maner..imo..
but i think we sorted it out..didnt we dot kite?
but for the topic...i think the best is to suport what you like...and what you dont like..just ignore it...
cause complaining about it, will not help nothing...
this whole thing is just the "normal" way of a scene growing..it was everywhere like this

Of course we sorted it out.....no worries about!
From the other hand, I would like to add, that I don't want to be negative or something, and as profane said, we have to use our energy to encourage the new....
Well, personally i did this a lot! From year 2000 I give a lot of chanses to all the newcomers....but unfortunately the situations is getting worst!
There are some great artists out there that keep me still involved in this scene, but the majority of the new artists are simple CRAP!

phonokol has some gems once in a while... take the Panick - Rocket Pocket cd and the E-Jekt - Dark Fader cd.
but again, if you dont like the music - simply dont buy and dont listen... easy as that. "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

I'm relatively new to psytrance... there isn't much of a scene here in the states. But from what little I know about it, I don't consider a lot of what people are calling "psytrance" to be psytrance at all. It's more like eurotrance with a little acid thrown in. Too many epic progressive tech trance influenced pieces of psycrap coming out.
But ya, instead of bitching, I'd rather keep researching and looking for the good artists. We have a monthly here in Boston and I went last month and saw a dude called Moska play, and I heard this really awesome track... as soon as I heard it I ran up and asked him about it and found out it was n3xu5, who I looked up when I got home, and eventually ended up buying a cd that had the track on it... that's the way to really encourage the artists you like to keep innovating, if you financially back them when they do something right.
It's better to use positive reinforcement on the ones you like than to use negative reinforcement on the ones you dont! |

It's a matter of taste isn't it? Some of the artists you call "CRAP!", others really enjoy.
And another thing ... hasn't it always been like this? I've heard people say "everything was so much better back in the days" for ages.
I think it's nice to hear some real shitty music from time to time, it makes me appreciate the music I like even more

Dear phobium,
My point in this post is not concerned only in the style of music (where it is a matter of taste), but is focused in the actual production!
(If you read all my previous posts, I am sure you will clarify it on your own).
We are living in the year 2005 where our equipments is much more advanced than the previous years, but the quality of the production is CRAP ! (sorry, If i repeat this word, but I want to SHAKE people's mind)
that's all....

Phobium,
B4 I would buy all the music released and although i did not like certain tracks, the level of workmanship and originality present was outstanding. Now we all became selective because there has been a massification. IMHO there are some releases that feel they were produced to make a quota... No one is really @ fault, we all do what we have to do, but the dancefloor is not deaf and it senses when something is not inspirational anymore regardless of style or taste. If not everyone would be expressing their awe and not their discontent. |

I don't want to overstate the importance of Isratrance on the global trance scene (although it is certain that the internet is now a very major promotional tool), but I think that ending the distinction between artists, labels and 'normal' users here on Isratrance might help a little.

I can only agree 100%
The "star" factor in these forums are high and frankly quite boring |
