So couple of years from now, after u ' wasted ' so much time in the studio and also some money on your equipment, I wonder if your opinion about mp3 piracy will stay the same |

i only said:
only the music intrests me.
and not the design.
i dont buy the cd because of the nice design !!!

I never said that i buy cd's only because of their design, music is always the most important thing but.... ah nevermind a guy that chooses his nickname related to a pedofile overyear popstar won't understand anywayz... |

Let's look back.. In the time the vibe was better.. Did artist earn the money that today's artists earn? Did artist thought about it? Did the vibe was VIBE? and was there a SPIRIT?
I suppose u all know the answers.
My point is that making trance is only for fun and not for a living by any means because what will happen when an artist wants to but a new car? He will release another album?
You can notice the absurd in this situation. The artists mustn't count on the music to support them.
The interaction bettwen an artist to his music is huge and that's the only thing that an artist should will to get from his music as well as glory.
I make music too, actually only lately I have developed my music from Impulse to more developed programs and guess what? Those programs are cracked! and guess what was Jason's reaction to my mp3 collection? But I still make music, and I'll release it as well, when the day will come and 'll feel perfect with it and I DON'T want anyone to support me and to buy my cd, that's why I torn my ass in school and not in the studio, and that was always my perspective and will always be.
Another thing.. I'm asking from all of you who get your cds from lables, promoters, artists etc. stop telling us - the simple people, to buy cds. The situation in our country is BAD and 80 nis is a lot for a guy who wants to have decent cds and wants to update his collection mounthly. |

I see u in this forum more thana year now, and maybe two, I didn't count.
For sure, that was one of the weakest things I have seen u say.
It's so UNREAL and TWISTED.. sorry mate u live in a very weird world for sure.. TOP level music ( never mind which kind ) should take time to make. And not 1.5 hrs after work but days upon days. If all the artists would b as U, Sexta, want them to b, u wouldn't have the pleasure to hear most of the most excellent trance that was made. If you think that Kox Box ( just for the matter of example ) go to the studio, use a ripped tracker and produce a track in couple of hours than you don't know shit.
NOW - You stated there that the biggest kick for the artist is his art and the appretiation he gets from the crowd. Well very partly true. Yeah it is a lot of fun and good feeling to get the good vibes from your audience and see other DJ's play your music and I can say the feeling is awesome. BUT - EVERY kind of effort should b given it's decent payment - that's how this world works. You work - you earn your money. I make pleasure for you, I don't think you owe me nothing, but, the minimum is to pay at the door when I perform, or buy my album - sorry I am talking about myself, if you want you can have the Kox Box example again. The price thing is the only part where I agree with you.. but why I have the feeling that even if the disk will cost 30NIS you will still rip it ???
Here's one small one - Sextazy what's wrong for trance artist to have a car? What u will work on your thing and be able to buy yourself a car and I will come to the party by foot? he he Maybe you give me a ride? C'mon man it sounds so damn BAH
Sextazy - you can not have it all DONT YOU PPL UNDERSTAND??
It's impossible continue ripping in one hand and in the same time to cry about the vibe that WAS ( Sextazy I was there in Goa 92' I aint sure u were there - or even knew of existance of this music at the time )
If anyone searches for the explanation to WHY quality music is 1 to 10 tracks in good case LOOK NO FURTHER.

you can't make people think right,
like you can't save the world....
That's sad, that trance artists can't live from their music like pop/punk/rock/hip-hop/disco/opera/etc artists.
may be some day we'll see that Yuli(BLT) will come to play at some party with his brand new Mersedes600, and Duvdev will djing when he's wearing Armani suit, and Guy "EvilDrugLord" Shanti will make parties at his summer farm in Michmoret....but it's only a dream.... |

YES I DID!!
In my opinion their last album ' The Great Unknown ' is one of the very best ever creations. I do not have the money or the wish to pay for music that is not very special to me. BUT stuff I appreciate I still buy and support the artist.
BTW this album is also extremely kool design-wise and many artists can learn from this one imo.

Second when I will find out that I can't change anything I stop dealing with this scene, cuz I have some at least as good things to do with my life.. I guess I still like trance a little and care about how it looks ( sounds ) like
Third - I don't need no Mercedes Benz my man, though I wouldn't say no.. ;-) Actually if I would have one, I probably would sell it and go to tour Mama India for couple of years he he.. Seriously now.. I am not some dumbass. I know very well what I can't have from this occupation, and I guess I wont buy a villa in Denya for trance making... ;-) What I want is 0 ( Zero ) in a bank account after I had my bread ( and I am really cheap - no funky wines and excuisite meals ) so what do you say, Roman...
