Because of this mp3 revolution I have bought many
many many more CD's ever in my life.
I download a track and if I like it I will buy the
CD that contains that track.  If its not in the
near buy store, I go on-line and purchase it.
Im sure there are other ppl like me.

Come on... What is it? A survey? Everyone says what he does with his music? The point here is that the prices are high. And I must agree with Tal - this is like stealing any other thing. But the difference is that when you steal gasoline or wine you can get caught. When stealing music, no one can catch you. It's just a click of a mouse. And if the authorities start to arrest people that steal music, 99% of Israel will be in jail.

Israeli's are ppl of little integrity and respect.

When god was giving these to mankind, our ppl were busy making some kind of profitable business..

( I didn't say Jews, cuz I would offend some but that is more correct )

Artists get 20% and the labels and the distirbution companies get the 80%.So who is stealing who.The listeners steal the artists?OR the labels steal both the artists and the listeners?Answer this one if u can.

uncorect detox

artist gets 16% from price per 1 unit and from that the label deduct 15% more for the cd productions
the label gets the rest after allot of expences
a label is a group of ppl they have to earn some money no ? this is their job ! this is their living .
u have a job no ? u know how important is to earn money for living,  no ?

the prices of cds getting up becouse there are less ppl buying cds every day ( & u know why)

Tal: Music isn't a luxurie, music is LIFE.

I can't go for one day without atleast hearing one song or track or something, and when i have the opertunity i will listen as much as i can.
like i am doing at home, nonstop music playing.

Yuli: Strong point about the spirit dissapearing, though i don't think it's directly related to people ripping C.Ds.

look, i think that if you don't have money and you ripp a C.D that u *must* have, you love it so much and you really wana hear it it's ok, after all it's great respect to the artist.
but if you start ripping every single C.D then your  just a mafiozo, or broke.
when i have extra cash i buy C.Ds i love, when i don't i download it.

as all things in life, we must stay in the gray area , not white and not black.

I said 20% because i know that here in Greece two big labels pay their artists a 14% per copy and i know that one other smaller and new label pays its artists a 10% per copy and i thought that these percentages are very small and i couldnt believe that the same percentages apply to other more music advanced countries like Israel for example.I am amazed from the fact that someone said that USTA pays only 10% to the artists.I thought that in Israel things would be better but from what i hear it seems that the facts are same all over the world.Personally i would like to hear from persons like Eyal Yankovich or another label owner or representative, people that are in the trance industry, how much does a cd costs to the label in order to be constructed and distributed  to the stores. What i mean is that i want to know hom much money from the 20 dollars that i payed to buy BLT-Presence cd go to the artist,to the label,to the distributors and to any other person involved in the trance market in order to produce, package, distribute and sell this cd.I would really appreciate it if somemeone answered these questions to me.

Everyone rips people off. In one way or another, sometimes you dont even realize it.
If you've ever used a vcr or cassette tape to record something without permission, that's stealing too. No one is high and mighty here because they dont use audiogalaxy.
I use AG and Buy cds. Guilty of both.

To Wako Jako:

If music is the only thing that interests you, then I have a proposition for you:

Get yourself a studio and make your own ;-)

the problem are the really the prices!!!
But what causes it? Marketing exploration!!!
I think that a good work from a good artist have to be recognized. But not explored!
Going this way i'll fall into some off-topics that causes all this exploration ($) stuff... What's mine, is yours.
