if you dont have an state of the art soundsystem witnout weak points, its really worthless to play anything above 16 bit wav.

My idea is its better to have too high quality than too low. Worst case is that 24 bit wavs sound like 16 bit.           .

1. There are so many factors affecting sound quality other than 16/24, so having the music as 24 bit is hardly an advantage.

2. I think that the sync button is a blessing. Yes, I know how to beatmatch, yes I can do it in about 20 seconds on the primitive CDJ-100s. Does it make me a better DJ? DJing isn't about beatmatch (or maybe it was 10 years ago). There is so much more to it.

3. Laptop mixing (or USB drive mixing on those new CDJs with USB) is so much more convenient than carrying loads of cds, and trying to find the one you want in the dark. Instead of spending half of the time looking for the record I want and then beatmatching it, then immediately going to the next one since I ran out of time, I can concentrate on the mix itself, add fx, or be creative.

Yeah? Who the hell beat-matches these days anymore? What a waste of time dat skill IS, meez pulse match, which isn't the beat per music... Why does bits between 16 - 24bit matter? What type of imprint are you trying to encourage? Blue-ray or not, you still see the movie...

It's really nice to see an artist make a post here, for a second usons was beginning to think the people on this thread were too much up in their heads... If your name is colored blue mister DEE JAY then you can call yourself an artist per the AUTHORITY, status Que... Make new terms before youenz debate such endless spottings..

CDJ's are all digital these days with usb, midi, rekordbox and they support HID for both traktor and serato.

So the best way to end a discussion is to contaminate it with facts

Not sure the Peacemaker will come close to the other equipment because of its small size, but its a nice gadget for sure

absolutely... and the facts are that none of these (digital, laptop or analog) really matter when it comes down to facing the people on the dancefloor. it's all about mixing skills, music collection and ability to entertain the people. synch button won't do that by itself, it wont read the crowd, won't select the most fitting track for the moment, and overall will not entertain the people. While many contemporary equipment offer lots of nifty little and unique features - it's up to the DJ how, when and where he/she should use them...           www.venomous2.com

I remember when the big deal was going from turntables to Cd players which isn't the same as players to software.. Some may feel i'm wrong but go figure, the machine will win, its a given.v
