It's an interesting release, for sure... I really like the combination of funk and energetic full-on, it works quite well! James is a super nice guy too - and his show in Toronto rocked the joint. I'm big on Slaphead, Toyz Just Wanna Have Fun, and Girls + Boys...
I have to agree about the mastering problems though... I have a tough time squeezing these tracks into a set, as that (comparative) wet blanket effect is fairly noticeable... but is the problem the mastering on this release? Or the overdone mastering on other releases? I think it's just a matter of opinion...
