Yeah Dutch government is pretty strict about the soundlevels. So they measure it often. And it was all ok indeed. The second stage created more noise, that is why they changed to the main floor at night.
There is a pretty hilarious video (in Dutch) from the local authority that is quite happy with the psy-fi festival:

I agree it has the potential to become a top tier festival! Thanks for passing on our feedback too supergroover.
I'm sure they could fix something with the main stage?
Good quality equipment with a skilled sound engineer tweaking it, quadraphonic line arrays, and maybe some kind of cardioid subwoofer arrays (front & back?) plus maybe some deco around the stage that helps to absorb sound escaping could work to keep the spl high inside the stage and low outside.
It is a big problem and it fucked the flow of the party quite a lot. How can you go all in for a night if you know that at 3am your experience is going to become *less* intense?
I saw a bunch of people on FB suggesting doing a "silent disco" at night? This seems like the most horrible idea in the world to me! |

some more points that could improve the whole thing.
1. Don't invite the usual suspects.. nobody needs the Ace Ventura cheese again and again 
2. Invite some killer artists like Martian Arts & Psilocybian.
3. Invite Freddy again

Psilocybian played in Ireland at theEarthdance last weekend. I agree, he needs to be booked more by good, professional promotors because he destroyed the dancefloor and was a total gentleman too.
