..... so ya'll can post "i love pavel" threads in the trance section and think it's the best thing ever (which is pretty much is) but we can't have a fairly relevant and interesting discussion without flame wars?
double standards much?
it'd be super nice if we got some real information here instead of just nay-sayin, personally i find this whole music for the spirit quite interesting.....
but then, i'm a pseudo-hippie
edit: upon lookin at all the posts in the trance section, there seem to be quite a few that don't have to do with trance..... at least not anymore than bioacoustics or the effects of music on the psyche....

point is dreadieg there is a specific forum here for spiritual or technical topics. Sadly there is not a off-topic forum. But I get your point. BUT now that you actually have a spiritual and technical forum why not use it instead of posting spiritual/technical topics in the general forum?

i would agree, dogon. it shouldn't make any difference as to who we are or what we believe, we all have a reason for being here and posting, i'm just saying i have a real interest in these kind of topics, and that they can be spiritual from a certain perspective but they seem mainly academic.
if we can use these theories to enhance our culture or music, it seems fair game to be in a trance forum. seems silly to discount things just cause they could be considered fodder for a subforum on the same forum when it's the same people reading it and arguing over semantics.
i mean, i know that ya'll and moki have this weird flirtfest going on, and i'm not in the least interested it or the history.
i am, however, interested in the effects of music on the body/spirit, and how that could be applied to the trance scene.
it seems silly to ignore something that could be used for good cause it offends ya'lls delicate internet protocol.
but blahblahblah, what do i know, i've only been in the scene for alittle while and never really ventured out into the real psy world cause there aren't many parties in my area. i throw my events for psuedo-hippie purposes, therefore i'm interested.
bah, i want some chinese food. |

I am probably being cynical but in my 19 years in this scene I have experienced many people with the same visions/ideas as you have. And I am sure you are a decent person who only want the best for people and yourself. But in my experience your ideas have been tried and failed many many times in this scene (Most has been smalltalk done by people who thought it was cool to appear all pseudo hippie-a-like. Just as the majority of the hippies of the 60's wasn't really full-time hippies).
At the end of the day it's all about music and dancing and if someone get more out of it it's all good. Each to his own. Problem is you cant implement visions/ ideas if the majority does not share those visions/ideas. And believe me they dont.
