wow, those tops sure make psytrance seem dull...

exactly!

250 poeple means nothing
means internet nerds like hommega

That is the post that perfectly sums up this thread and the results.

I think we should have a separate best of thread for "dark trance", but I think "king-of-my-own-castle-trance" is a name that suits the style and people that listen to it, better.
I also love the controversy...people that complain about "shit-pop-mainstream-trance" getting in the polls and are dissapointed that their favourite "underground/dark/death/no-one's-heard-of-it-before-trance" not get a top place in the results.
If I wanted my music underground, I would not want to see it in any polls...especially in polls where "no life" artists like "you know who" did what they did and their groupies kicked up a fuss!

I agree there should be more catagories but people should stop whining because their favourite artists aren't in the top 10. The artists I voted for aren't on the list, but the list is based on votes... so the best according to the masses are the ones on the list (except for X-Noise hehehe)

I really do think there should no be more categories in the polls.
Why having the best dark-psy-alternative-elcetro-techno-pop-hardtrance-prog-cd section?
C'mon!!! we're speaking about PSY-TRANCE, that's all!!
things are good as they are!

From ur post i can not see are u ironic-sracastic about tribal vision, or not, but the truth is that they have done more in one year than a lot of labels on psy - progressive scene in last 5 ...           myspace.com/audionova

quick question about the poll results detox, something i thought about: if you discounted only xnoize out of the results - arent the results still totally "off" since the users who picked xnoize also picked hommega almost always for best label, best comp, etc etc.. in short havent those users tilted the votes completely?
did u discount them entirely? or just the xnoize part?           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

I think you should have separate catagories for prog and full on- those are DEFINATELY not my top3 cds, and definately also not a lot of peoples!

i know we are one scene etc- but to put cds like Sonica etc in the same class as Antix - Twin Coast Discovery or Ticon- Zero Six After is damn silly.           Open Records, Australia

Suspekt and Banel, I completely understand your point of view (and I would personally also like to see a purely progressive top), but I think it would be way too much work to divide it into all the different subgenres of psytrance.

Also people have different definitions on the different subgenres. For instance: Is "Unusual Suspects 2" full on? Are Lish and Yotopia's albums full on or progressive? These are the kind of dilemmas we would encounter           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

In case you have any doubts

http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/57713/forum/8

Now can you remove Silent Hill aka Silence Hill aka Cheddar Cheeze Factory from best new artist?
