I'm quite suprised with the results.

Not a very "psychedelic" outcome.

Most of the winners fall under proggressive, morning full-on, or Isreali full on.

Do the majority of Isratrance users prefer more accessible/commercial sounds?

I mean come on!

The fact that Israliens volume 5 is the number 1 compilation just shows you.

The scene is definitely deviding into two:

Commercial poppy accessible harmless music for the masses

and

Underground psychedelic mind music for those who see it as more than just dance music.

I reckon it was quite a bad year for psytrance!

It was so bad towards the end that I was on the verge of giving it all up.

If it wasn't for Xerox&Illumination:XI, I would have been a gonner for sure!

Ah the results are fine... it's a popularity contest, what do you expect!

I am a bit perplexed that the #1 compilation of the year doesn't even have a review in the forums here that I can find though...

And what compilation would that be Basilisk? As for the people that think this scene is not for you anymore... Leave please, see if anyone cares.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

what's wrong with progressive being in the first place? Jaia- fiction, is psychedelic. special, unique and one of a kind art work that disserves it.

No there's nothing wrong with Jaia-fiction being in the first place.

I'm just from the "school" that prefers trance to be twisted. You know, stuff like: Hallucinogen-Gamma Goblins, Koxbox-lunar bin, ect

So in that sense, the results are quite "untwisted" inf you know what I mean....

but obviously its a matter of personal taste...

Yes. imho It would be better If the poll was divided to Best full On....best Tech... best prog. I believe that full on artists and prog are deferent worlds. And shouldn't be judged under the same category.
But it would be a herded job for Detox.

I think the first place is in good hands, although I voted for Antix. Anyway, this made me pay more attention to Fiction and I've been hearing it from start to finnish. This contest had, at least, the positive effect on showing me a great album that I somehow had neglected.

Congrats also to Beckers for the best vinyl, which I voted for, and best track, not the one I voted but sure it is a massive tune that I really enjoy.

A good word also to D-Nox for best DJ. Well deserved.
