No one is patronizing over electronic music, but as I said before even a four year old can come up with a melody sitting half a day on 2 bars in a loop.

Hmm...so I give up...if I would tell a guitarist that any four year old can pick up a guitar and make a melody, would I come across as patronising to him?
I started playing violin when I was 5, and for sure picked up my fathers guitar before that.
I don't think it easier to write a good melody on a sequencer than on a 'REAL' instument.

Anyway, I don't care if producers is amateurs (how many in this scene is not?), or virtous guitarists, or even if they can write a good melody or not. I am just happy they are making so much good trance music at the moment, released or not.

The big problem is the large amount of crap being released, so that talented artists drown in this sea of bullshit.

So it's not really a problem that there is so much 'bad music' produced, but that so much bad music get's actually released!

Fu Hsi, if you had read my previous posts more carefully, you would know, that I totally agree, that musical knowledge helps to create good trance music.

Spindrift, I think one can hear in your music, that you've got quite a bit of this knowledge.
I am looking forward to the site project you mentioned you are working on.

Why? Does anyone forces you to buy the 'shit'?
Where is the problem?

It is matter of taste. Something that you don't like (what is 'shit' as you say) is probably my favourite track/cd or whatever.

So u decide what is 'shit' for U, but not for me or anybody else.

The problem is that you have to dig trough all the shit, to get to the good stuff.

I think the real problem is that there are always some people who want to complain about anything.

It doesn't matter about what, as long say can complain about it, just to do something coz if they don't complain they have nothing to do.

Then it is boring for them.

So i wish u happy complaining!

so EYB...
it's okay for you to have so much bad music beeing released?.. okay then....wait a few more years (not many), and you'll see where all this is going to end!

i remember hip-hop in the early 90's, every record released had some magic in it, because it was good, and it was made by people who would do it from the heart, with love and hoping to reach peoples heart and soul!!
once the record companies saw the "gold mine" in it, they started to realese every shitty hip_hop group they could find, hopping to see the $$$$$ falling on their laps!!
so...look at what hip_hop is nowadays...a bunch of "superstars" talkin about dope, money and chicks!! do you see any true artist nowadays in hip_hop??...i don't!! (just think that the best hip_hop artist in this days is...Eminem?!?!? wtf?!?!)

do you want the same thing hapens in trance??

of course i dont have to buy trance crap, but it beats my heart off seeing all those producers doing this shit just for $$$!!!

hahah amen! Complaining never really got me anywhere, does it really work for anyone else? I guess as long as people have opinions and taste we'll never get away from it. I dont think complaining about crappy releases or whatever is going to make much difference. IMHO every style of music is 95% crap and about 5% good (including psytrance). So you always have to dig for the gold. Labels will always trust the marketing trends more because they have to make their money back. Perhaps if people didnt copy so much they wouldnt have to do that but lets not open that can of worms I just think its unrealistic to assume that your favorite style of music/art is going to release something you like 100% of the time.           Anomaly

that's why we have forums like for example
isratrance. here you can dig together with
other people. less digging per person
share your great findings as a post and read
posts from other people. most posts have a
link and you can even listen to the tracks. sweet! the name of the game: sharing knowledge of music that you like.

led it to you if you like
