Mary.Morgan is damn right ( I dont really understand how one can argue with her statement since it is so obvious )
But we are close to a new stage in trance set by those that want to bring this scene into the small box that runs movies on it
This stage is called MTV - Trance
And it's already here, even the main players were chosen - wait and see

right on! that`s the next step... more and more vocal tracks lately. more and more clubby and chessy melodies... trance is going right into the center of mainstream.
but on the other hand i think it will go to other directions also.the question is: WHEN??
too bad too many artists sound the same... but that`s what happens when genres grow from underground to commercial... money comes in ... quality declines... its nature...
(working in a very mysteriuos way  )

anyone can be a musician, but few musicians become ARTISTS!!
just like painting....anyone can be a paiter, but few painters become artists.....
It's all a matter of beeing CREATIVE !!!

my style and my creations come from different blends of my imagination.
my musical inspiration comes from any sound on this planet.
innovate, buy a heart-to-usb cabels, don't afaraid to break the rules, don't listen to evil labels that want you to make 150 bpm killers if you don't want to, creativity ends where more creativity comes, tweak the knobs till they burn, think of your kids to be proud of you as the revolutionary progressive musician!

If there is a music style that can not be copy, than this is Trance music. I have listened thousands of tracks and i could not find 2 traxx, to sound the same. Each track is unique in his own way. Maybe some artists are influenced by Astrix's orientation(for example) but i haven't heard anyone to sound exactly the same. Just like i haven't heard anybody else to sound exactly like Astral Projection or Hallucinogen .... |

How many ppl eaxctly say it over and over again, that today's trance is all copycats on copycats and ppl are trying to sound exactly like other ppl and get released as soon as they can etc etc.......
did anything change? nope... ppl still saying it.
is it going to change? who knows... but it doesn't depend on the 'artists'. Amazingly, ppl copycat others because they know there's a RELEASE potential !
Once a label says: "man, this sounds just like this and that, we won't release same stuff" - MAYBE then it'll change. But all labels have to say it... and no label will say it because i don't know why miracilously this is where labels' most income comes from.
So don't forget the magic of music: it's all about the money, fame and copycats.
PS: let's not argue about obvious things. Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

i think u r wrong... this is not only labels but the buyers also... there wont be any income to the label unless people buy recicle stuff...

First off all I would say I don't totally agree on your all of your views!..
All together, the hole "copy-thing" is quite a negative point of view I think, because there IS a very broad spectrum of artist under the hat of "Full On", that certainly has their own personal print on the sound, and do not try to copy others!!..I think it is just a question of discovering new names and giving them a chance..New names pops up, in new styles, trying to mix genres, wich is one of the cool ways develope new sound!!
BUT ofcourse there will always be people, who counsously or subcounsiously (probably spelled wrong, but what the heck..), will sound simular to the artists they like, even though I think that very few actually wants to sound ectsactly like their "idols"..what would be the point ??...it would be cheap, and unoriginal...so if this is the case I agree....
Then again, as an artist I personally listen to what I like, ofcourse I get inspiration, but never tryes to copy directly what I hear!!...Another thing, if artist like you say realy tries to copy Astrix etc.. they will never achieve much, because there is only one Astrix who makes the real thing...
ONE last thing, like others in here I would strongly reccomend you to mention the names you think is Atrix-wannabee's!! If I where one of these artist - just copying another some other artist, I would realy like to know, so I could dvelope something different, so DO IT, as a help for the guys you think are making music wiht no soul and originality =)

you people think you are so special and unique, that your music is the center of the known universe - yet most of you keep on ripping artists and expect them to keep on providing your ever demanding ear for new sounds (but if some arists goes a bit too far from the accepted 'psy formula' he is cheesy, right?).
Go and make your own music, see how hard it is, how demanding and unrewarding it is - and I dont mean sitting fiddling with Cubase a while and calling yourself artist like so many in this forum do. See how little physical reward you get from producing music and publishing it - just like Yuli wrote in one of his threads.
You all want the silver spoon of new, fresh music to drop in your mouths without bothering to pay for it and then complain that producers are making shitty commercial music because it sells (a little...), it makes me sick to even reply to this thread. maybe I shouldn't - there are the ones who do and the ones who tell how to do it, and this is the bottom line. If you dont like it, either do it differently or keep quiet and say thank you.
sorry for the harsh words, I mean no personal offence, but sometimes you people amaze me.
