what if the organiser give you only 1 cdj and one mixer... can you mix?

It has happened to me once..when the CDJ didnt work..and i havent took my vinyls with me.. i simpy did some looping! Or its too hard for you? ... practice needed... everyone can be a "nowiwanttobeaDJ" DJ! Where they can see the BPM range..and knows whats fader..chn 1 an chn 2... i can do some trix with only one CDJ

now a question: Can you? hehehehe

tell me how

really i m serious i want to learn how to make a transition from one to the other without having to stop the sound with only one cdj and one mixer...it can really be usefull oneday

This can be made using denon cd players as they have a function called alpha track that allows 2 track to be played from the same disc..

by looping the track with MIXER ( DJM800 is the most appropriate.. well we did it on 600 aswell )

How to make it and how to control the mixer and the track afterwards, thats just a matter of practice

and Dennis ) the new Pioneer CDJs ...you amy do it also ))

dont you think there are better ways to solve the problem than mixing an entire set with an 8 beat sampler?

Well... If you dont have those DENONs or the newest Pioneers...there is no way. Well..maybe with a long long echo effect. And than the next track starting with a first punch..or pause.. whatever you like ))           Psynthex [ Vertikal Records ]

how about connecting you ipod or what ever to one channel and do your pitching and bending with the cd player you have?

First you need to have an Ipod.. second of all you need to think on that aswell and take it with you ( aswell the cable ) third.. ipod isnt functional.. fourth.. looping and playing around with a mixer is more fun           Psynthex [ Vertikal Records ]

so playing with some 8 beat samples is more fun and functional during an entire set than connect a second source of audio??

Listen Dennis...

He gave an example: what IF the 2nd CD palyer got stucked.. and you have only 1 mixer and 1 cdj at the moment! What to do? And i gave an example... so? Whats your problem than? You are complicating with your versions over and over again... Thats just a matter of ONE moment!

Over and out! Now please stay on the topic or i am gonna terminate it!

Thank you

okay well i just thought it was an interesting issue since it happens quite a lot that there is shitty equipment on stage.

Now back on topic. I doubt that the psytrance scene have the worst dj's around, but they probably get to work with the worst and worn out equipment available.

I think yes!
On numerous occasions I've witnessed awful dj's in the Psy scene.
There was 1 Dj, named something like Cosmos (completely unknown to me) at Transylvania Calling, and he couldn't mix 2 tracks properly during his entire set!
It was terrible, he coulnd't beatmatch anything just completely nothing, nothing nothing nothing nothing.
And he was smiling, pretending everything was fine, not embarresed at all by his louzy 'performance'.

Are you sure his name wasn't "Goa Gil"?
