If not, then i fail to see how you would know what is fact, rumour or BS regarding such a topic.
The only person who knows is Enrico. Has he posted anything about ppl on this forum being hypocites?

Jason, how would you know by reading the main "070707 festival" thread? As if someone is going to publicly "beg" to play and then later slag it off?
Just for the record, you can strike my name off that "suspect list". I've never asked enrico if i could play at any of his events. I once asked Eyal Yankovich in 2004 if i was playing at a "UK HOMmega event" back in 2004 when i was still (i thought) a "UK HOMmega dj".
Back on topic... has anyone considered that the current wave of squat parties in the uk is a direct reaction to the over commercial psy-trance mega parties?
Perhaps some of the biggests problems in the UK scene stem from so many foreign promoters (in London). Do they hold the same long-term aspirations of creating a healthy & vibrate UK scene? Quite a controversial suggestion i know, but imo it's a valid one.
btw, Glade was rocking. There is still hope! |

You admit to having no involment with 070707/enrico yet claim to have "inside information".
Why are you publicly claiming that certain "anonymous" forum members are hypocrites for criticizing enrico?
No, you did not call my name out, but neither did you rule it out!
Having been involved with HOMmega for many years in the past, and suffered from enrico's dirty tactics, i have every right to step in when it's possible you could be referring to myself. Next time think before you mindlessly and aimlessly point your finger here. |

Artists may have contacted not directly enrico,but rather stage promoters.

But I will make an effort and overllook also your rather disturbing statement where you suggest that a british only promotion will benefit the scene.
All what I said,put in a very very elementary english is:
a.Some artist/djs have asked to play at 070707
b.They got refused by the satge oragnizer they asked to
c.They are now bitching about how crap this event has been (statement which i may also share with them,regardless the fact I was meant to play on the sunday and I eventually havent ).
Which (in case you find yourself still in trouble understanding the simple logic and meaning of what above) doesnt mean anyone who is bashing now the event is an hypocrite,but teh ones who applied and had a no as answer.

I never mentioned anything about an exclusively british promotion benefiting the UK scene. I don't know any other county in the world that is more accommodating to foreign promoters. But when you have a "mafia" of foreigers trying to dominate the UK scene (for financial gain) then clearly this is not healthy, especially when it's at the expense of english promoters who really do care about the future of the scene in their OWN country.
The fact Colin OOOD (one of the most talented and respected UK artists) thought this a very interesting question just shows how off the mark and out of touch you are regarding the topic of this thread. |
