As stated in the come on colorado thread, there are events that are not posted due to lack of interest, and my curiosity is getting the better of me.
Seems a year or two ago there was many events in the desert, now local resources only mention colorado events, some local house/breakbeat but thats not the same... as the summer nears its end i find it hard to believe there is no psy events at all. If there is information about New Mexico events in general, i would love to read it, im keeping my fingers crossed that somebodys been holding out. Thanks |

godpsy was doing events in Taos, but i haven't heard from Chevy in a while.
and find Johnny Primitiv.. he might have an idea of what's going on, if anything.

There's still a few psy DJs in Albuquerque that I know of. We do some things out here in Arizona during the fall/winter/spring. Keep an eye out here for info on our upcoming events soon.

You know, it might not be a bad idea to help host events out here, instead of having them join your events out there.. considering the Denver scene has alot more resources to devote and thier following etc. etc... Just a thought. |

The impracticality of the situation for myself, mostly surrounds the idea of the one night/12 hour events that Denver is holding. To drive 6 hours to denver, dance all night, find a room the next day, to sleep enough to drive back home, on top of fuel funding, is entirely a great deal of effort that Denver locals do not have to deal with. A 3 day event or even a 2 day would be less impractical, but so far I haven't noticed one that I can plan ahead for. Albuquerque used to hold its own events, even two day events, and I am not quite sure what happened, as I was in Texas for a year or two, but now I am finding a scattered amount of lost "raver" kids, dancing to gag worthy club music downtown with thier blinking lights, talking about how they haven't been out to an event in so long, obviously not due to lack of interest. I realize I am out of touch and the reality is likely small events once or twice a year, and I am more than happy to attend those if I can find the information, and I thank you for your help. |

maybe you should consider throwing your own? seems like there's plenty of room at the moment.
I hear you on the one-night events. We'll be doing Earthdance outdoors near Denver in September, which will most likely be a 3-day event with various genres, but no crappy club music, I promise.

Earthdance last year was so much fun!
I do feel that 1 day thing though, lots of effort but if you share the drive it can be less cruel on your brain.
Also we have lots of great people here that would love to offer up a space for some out of town family to crash.
Its really a land thing in my mind if we has more private land out here we could do a muti day event with no troubles.Also we are always out stting up the day before so if you know you are come'in let us know and you can come out and camp the night b4 too.
I just want to see more connection between the two states, its not that far!
With the two states combined we could do some seriously sweet Events.

it would be great, there were quite a few kids from NM at the Chakra parties near Alamosa back in 2000-01. Since then though, I haven't seen a lot, at all. Having attended and performed at some NM events, I could tell you that the scene there is pretty young and the 'gag-worthy club music' dominates, though they eat up the more accessible styles of psytrance too. Buddhabomb has been playing there a lot, dunno how he manages to make that drive like twice a month.

There is plenty of want from the peeps just not much going on as far as "Psytrance" events in CO a lot of mixed party's but I am one of those Psytrance junkies 150 BPM please and the darker the better.
Dont get me wronge I like other kinds of music but not tripp'in in the woods...
I'll listen to that at home.
When I played for the Godpsy kids it was like being back at home in the NW real Psytrance in the woods without the rave feel.
Very small and intimate but that fine with me as long as the vibe is right.
