its the season...we are happy to have u come, and our community will try to help with latest information...just ask anything about backpacking in India and check back in a day (place, party, stay, environment, travel, price, nearby scene, what next, trouble, laws...anything!)

we might post in your inbox if the information is too specific...you can PM me too if it's sensitive, but so that others can find this thread it may be a nice idea to keep it alive...aacha?

*Please let us keep this thread exclusive for visitors, and answering their queries

Places to stay in North Goa at cheap rates for the season.           “I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs or insanity for everyone, but they've always worked for me.”

For now, morjim-ashwem-arambol (name of beaches, goa has many, and each has a unique vibe) belt has become better than anjuna-vagator.

Arambol is the best beach (for scenery, swimming, peace) in north Goa and nowadays where there is big activity...lot of fellow israelis too. Morjim is the new anjuna of Goa minus the big parties, but a lovely lovely vibe, and lot of russians. Both are 20-30 mins from anjuna.

Price:
You are going at a time when Goa is most expensive, so be prepared to pay between 30-80 usd per day. Taxis hire from hotel. For bike it should cost you about 12-20 usd, depending on your choice. These things become cheaper if you are staying for long. If you are staying beyond jan 1, then make 2 prices...after jan 2 everything becomes less expensive. It would come in the bill if u started staying there from 10 days ago, but now u really have to pay the chistmas week price first.
