till the details are confirmed, please allow me to say that there is no stated rule in this country yet that back-to-back visas are not being allowed.
when UK tourist visa length is brought down from 6 to 3 months it makes international news, so if India is banning re-entry for 3 years!, and no one knows about it for sure, all it means that this is fake. A country is required to state its visa rules, and there is no mention of this in Indian visa section. India is not a country where bulls and donkeys are the only means of transport, so obviously there is something wrong in this information.
I have spoken to officials in India, and they are not aware of this...now, if it is a very secret pact which no one knows about, and no one should, then I am am also sure the world will end in 2012.
All that has happened is that there has been a debate raised in Goa parliament that just as UK has reduced its visa length, India should too.
Yes, there has been a call by extreme left groups asking tourists to vacate Goa by Dec 28, but things like these happen every year. Last year there was a rumour that Palestine groups are planning to bomb Goa during season. The govt, however, has deployed 6000 policemen and 200 special force just for caution.

The UK wants to cut visas from 6yrs to 3yrs. So India says well... six months to 3 months then. Doh! Where is my lassi? |

Im bored man, and since you are refusing to stop, this thread might just be martyred. I would 'like to take this opportunity' (lol) to declare that, yes, I am a journalist...been one since last 10 years. Neon nymph is also a journalist, and we journalists have been partying since you know only to report busts.
In parties, all we do is stand in the corner and try to find out who the organiser is before we bust you When everyone has left, we try to drink and trip for free...since all the cops are our dear friends anyway

chillout ppl , what scene are we talking abt ? which outdoor is gettin busted or where is the next party ? gettin scared of whom and for what
for god sake there is no such event or gatherings happening where those shit police can land up , so wats the prob and wers the prob : )
actually speakin i know some journalist frds including vv2 for more than 10 years who all are or were involved in the biggest news agencies as well as have been partying for more than decade and still these are the people who open up the scene in the right direction in the media i think , breaking the taboo in the mind of ppl who just think of this scene as some drug induced cult
BUT THATS NOT THE CASE For sure
not coming in for anyones saviour
its just common sense , which some ppl try not to use and when they dont use common ( sense ) it becomes non (sense)
whichever way u look at it
india needs more right kind of ppl as some of em exist in this thread who are always looking for the better electronic music culture in the years to come ,
more the issue is out in the ppl in the right manner more the better it is ( rather than the realities of some spiked up kid ( LoL ) throwing a rave party which gets busted and is in the news for all the wrong reasons ) more clearances from government n stuff n all that etc etc etc etc
may be the meaning of my post is lost by now relating it to the thread but then may be its not , psycedelic music n culture is not a sin
