Love the video. Just love the way people are dressed up at the festival. I so wish I could be part of those times.           Mushrooms make you do crazy stuff. Look at Mario he jumps on animal heads and fights with dragons.

Wrong! Based on my experience in this scene starting in 1993 and as an artists in this scene from 1994 I can 100% state that a lower BPM will enable more freely dance compared to example 160BPM. And then of course times has changed and today people use more time "stomping" (a term that got popular with the introduction of full-on") looking at the "stars" on stage than actually getting into a state of trance by dancing!           www.beatagency.dk

i believe you that you can 100 percent state this and i surely respect your statement, which is based on your own observations.

my statement is nevertheless that it depends on the physical body condition of a person, on his muscle structure and "high impact aerobics" abilities, as well as on his enthusiasm, psychic condition and ability to fall in trance by dancing. these variables as well as some other more insignificant factors like the social frame of what he is doing and his motivation to do it, define the level of " freely dancing". and free dancing is only possible if some basic circumstances are given , like enough place, flowing music and suitable weather conditions.
160 bpm can lead to very freely dance to some people and leave others stomping, according to their motoric abilities. wrong? well better a wrong position than no position. thanks:)

lovely video once more. antaro is so cute:). heard this year is the last vuuv ever. who would be there? besides iono music floors?

Fantastic music!!!! And fantastic vibes After watching it, I jumped directly in the studio and started with some early 90s stuff..

Here is a track that I made yesterday with heavy inspiration from the music from that clip:

Hope it sounds nice and old

Even though I think you overdue it a bit too much on the layer of sounds (simplicity is the beauty) this is far the best you ever did IMO I'll charge you for "stealing" an inspired by Elysium bass line ha ha           www.beatagency.dk

I know, I keep getting older and older...

no seriously, this must be a very powerful and beautiful moment to you now, to see this 20 years later here:)...

Quite an amazing surprise, yes.

i always wondered how those people in 91 actually felt on that day and if they knew what they were part of. if the next 20 years were what they dreamed for or was their vision a totally totally different one - and if it is the last, why did they disapear...

We definitely knew what we were a part of.
What became of it is of course completely different than what it once was. We did not disapear, we are spread all around the globe...

but far from the wide spread glorifying of the olds days, i believe they werent that coherent (like minded) even in that days either. otherwise the voov would still be the voov with the whole crew and not a " vuuv" with only half of the crew. i think they were not all in the same trip either, and this actually never happened on a realistic level.

btwi think it has little to do with bpm. it is just the fact that they had so much more space to move around. nowadays the voov is the most claustrophobic place you can think of. and people rarely have their initiation trip on a small festival but rather at the big crowded psytrancy market places. this is why it wont happen that way. but who knows, may be it does, and you will see the video material 20 years later:)))))

Pretty much all of us in this video had their "initiation" in Goa in the 80ies.

It is amazing to see what has happened and become of the trance scene, how it evolved, how it keeps changing, all the subgenres.
Sure, there are lots of morons in the scene too, also in the old days, but there was a certain freedom that we had that i somehow feel has gone missing due to police presence and so on.

As to the speed of the music, for us it began with 90 bpm (heartbeat)
in about 1989 it started going faster, first to 120bpm, then 130 and finally 140 (which we thought was almost too fast for us back then)

The vibes were unbelievable back then... and we were a true bunch of nutcases...

Having said that, let me try to come up with something old too, nice job Filteria, I love your sound anyway man.

bring back some fresh acid house!
this track from 88 still rox imo

what i find intresting in these old tracks is that you can find some elements from a lot of different kind of electronic music ,it all merged to their own kind later , techno ,trance ,house...
making some psytrance with a house beat for example stuff like this ,could be very intresting and maybe catch the spirit

was listening to this wonderfull tune that i heard in lot of video from parties from the early 90 , made me think to filteria track he posted, it s a bit the same kind with a more housy beat maybe.

today everything explosed to their own subgenre ,its a creativity limitation imo .
back to mixing everyhting and just call it electronic music wouldnt hurt sometimes.

offtopic but check this guys, intresting read
