Now, this was enough information for me.... I got my answer, and my suspision seems to be right... So, stop praising YSE! Now, someone stop this madness before it affects other artists too...!

Still oblivious. I'm curious: got some kind of vendetta against them??

You need to get one thing straight: their stuff sells. It really does. That alone justifies them to continue existing and putting out releases. And you PKS, how can you want them to part when giving such a high praise of the Andromeda album??

http://www.trance.net/article/articleview/484/

Now I ask you this: What label is that on? That's right: YSE. And don't forget their new album is out on YSE as well. So maybe they have LOTS of compilations... But they don't focus solely on compilations anymore.
And now everybody should chill out.          "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Hello again Acidhive! Can you please read again why I asked this question? Yes, I like that Andromeda album. So what? My questions here are about the artists who are NOT getting informed or payed!! So, I will repeat for you:

1. No credits on the CD cover, not the project name, not the real names and not even mentioned as a remix.
2. We haven't been paid. Sent invoice via registred mail which never made any problems, Ben claims he hasn't recieved it. Sent fax - same. Agreed on invoice via email month ago and since then no answer...
3. Bad atitude from the label side.
That's my experience with them...

As far as I know they have never paid anything to Iboga Records, even they often re-release some of their tracks on the compilations...

On GOA vol. 6 YSE releaced, ".....so below", a track from our album on Apoxina rec. a few years ago. We didnt know anything about it and found the CD in the shelfes of a funky Indian dude on the saturday-night marked in GOA...hahaha(Not original of course..)
We e-mailed Apoxina about it, and they told me they didnt knew, and that they would look into it.....
We never heard anything from either Apoxina or YSE about the isue.........

Didnt want to get into the issue but seeing some people insisting on things they OBVIOUSLY IGNORE really makes me angry.

PKS you are trying to make a point based on three stories from three different artists whose tracks have been featured on YSE compilations.

First of all you have to learn that since YSE mostly releases on their compilations already released tracks they need the permission for the license only from the labels and not from the artists. So for example i released the Wizzy Noise album before some time and i have therefore exclusively licensed their music on my label for the next 5 years, this means that when YSE wants to release a Wizzy Noise track from that album on one of its compilations they have only to ask me and not Wizzy Noise concerning the license of that tune.I make an aggreement with YSE and after i receive my money from this license i pay Wizzy Noise their percentage according to our original contract. So far so good?

NASA said that AS FAR AS HE KNOWS Iboga has never received any money from YSE from releasing their stuff on their compilations. As far as i know its Emok and Banel that run Iboga Records and i am preety sure that they know better than me and Nasa and anyone else their aggreement with YSE.Also i happen to know very good that the people that run Iboga Records are 100% professional and i find it very difficult to believe that they allow another label to release their music for free for something like 2 years now and that they never did anything about it.Sorry Nasa mate but you dont seem to be well informed on the subject and since i know that you have at least one release on both Iboga and YSE you should investigate the subject a little further.

TROLD said that they found out that one of their tunes was licensed to YSE without them knowing anything before.Like i said before YSE has no reason or obligation to inform anyone else rather the label to which the tune is licensed which on this case as Trold said its Apoxina Records.Trold said that he contacted Apoxina Records and they knew nothing on the subject,or at least thats what they claimed, which i found very funny since a label that finds out that another label illegaly released their music would for sure sue the violators or claim their money from the other label so that the story would end there.Trold you should also dig this matter deeper with Apoxina Records if you ask me and not YSE,except ofcourse if you dont care at all about the whole thing like i think you mentioned already.

So we are left with my friend Prosect who is the only one who has some valid ground on complaining. My suggestion to him is (since the remixes cd is relatively new) to be a little more patient with his payment since most labels are well known for delays with their payments to artists.

Thats all i wanted to say and the meaning of my post is to not rush on conclusions about people and labels especially when you are not aware of how some things work.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

True, Detox....
Yse had no obligation to tell us about it.....
But Apoxina should have....
and since they didnt, we could never be shure who didnt inform who in this case.
We are not blaming anyone, and as i said we didnt care to find anyone to blame either.
At the time when it happened we saw it as a nice promotion for us, and it worked very well to....as YSE apparantly sell some...
So we figured it was nothing to make a big fuzz about....
Things are not always about money.......even thoug things should of course be straight and honest between artist and label.

Hey Detox you was faster then me, I recieved the money few hours before you wrote it. Maybe he read the topic? Anyway, the cd was released more then 3 months ago, but the more annoying thing was the bad communication between us, ignorance.

Still think that I could be more happy to see my name on the CD and hold the physical one. Now I will have to buy one by myself.

One thing for sure I will not work with them in the future.

i like the YSE compilations its good for people like me who dont really listen too much psytrance and its also works for people who arnt really into this genre ...

@PKS
u jump to conclusions on the basis of 3 posts? ...thats wierd considering YSE must have dealt with a much higher number of artists and labels till now ....small problems so keep occuring its a business afterall and everyone has complaints at some point or the other .....

moreover being a label manager urself i dont think its very nice of you to put up this post as it hasnt done a single good thing to YSE's image ....all i can see is more and more bad vibes ....          New mixes on

Well, I bought a CD with the wrong track and they keep ignoring me...

That's really funny, can you imagine my face when the package arrived, I was smiling when I put it on my CDJ, went right to the Broken Toy - Absolutely (Scorb rmx) and waited until the end... But it was the wrong track. Checked the track name on the cover and it is there, so I listened the whole CD and nothing... There is no Broken Toy - Absolutely (Scorb rmx) on the CD...

And they just keep ignoring me... Is this a respectful attitude? They can't even do their work properly... IMO they should care about their costumers.

And this release came in a very nice box. I was extremly happy with it. Now disc one could have been more tantra trance, if you know what I mean. But all in all, a very nice compilation. Extra 10 points for the box

hello folks,

i read your stuff with great interest.
it makes a nice view over the scene as well:
there are some people who are really professionell workin and with those people we never had any problems. they know the market situation and how the world runs. BUT : there are many people who just live in a fictional world maybe influenced by drugs or just a dizzy mind. they just think they know how the world runs, but they know a shit about anything. just talkin´without thinkin´...

even the music business they can´t handle at all. as the word says by itself: it´s music business, not making music for friends. there´s a big difference to record a tape for a mate or you do it in a professionell way.

millennium is in operation since 15 years and has a very credible image which is due to the fact that they are working correctly. people who dont get paid are those who do not even understand the procedure which enables them to get paid, it is almost insane to read all your nonsense you come up with without having a clue about anything. how on earth do u think its possible to release 40 albums per year without clearing the tracks legally and without paying people, ey?

i´m workin in this business for over 10 years and i discovered for novatekk some of the biggest names of todays trance scene and released their
debut album. ben is doing underground even longer...so we´re underground even longer than most of you exist or know about our scene...

so who are you writing this shit about us, behind a nickname?

if there are any questions, or you still feel that you need some arguing with me, don´t hesitate to contact me : alex@millenniumrecords.com

otherwise i would ask for more respect like each of you think that is the way of life.

I like YSE/Millennium. Ok, so their titles and covers suck, but for most part you get GREAT value for the money. Instead of buying a bunch of mediocre albums with only 1 or 2 good tracks, a lot of their compilations contain a lot of "hits" - much like the Goa Head and Destination Goa compilations that really got me into psytrance back in the 90's.

I have bought over 10 releases from YSE/Millenniun, and so far I can only complain about one of them (apart from the Andromeda Remixes release where Andy isn't credited), and that's the "Goa 2003 Vol. 3" compilation, where they didn't inform on either trance-shop, psyshop or their own website that it was a beatmixed release, which makes it practically useless for me. I'm still waiting for reply on the email I sent them on that matter 2 weeks ago.           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

So you DO have a personal grudge. Then fuck off and get involved in other topics. And show some respect for fuck's sake man.

But seriously, people are getting worked up about minor things. If you hate YSE then don't buy their releases, isn't that 'punishment' enough for them?? But noooo some people seem to think they need to cause the downfall of YSE for some reason. With the new consumer-culture about to break loose in full, compilations like YSE makes are going to be in big demand by the people. YSE might be one of the only labels that can keep this scene truly alive in the end. Think about that while you ponder on other ways to moan and bitch about this label. Me? I've not been buying a lot of releases lately, so a couple of good YSE compilations will get me right back on track I imagine

Oh, and Alex, wise words from you man. I've been collecting the old Tantrance compilations and Pulse compilations, and those go way back... you did a good job on those and you sure as hell are doing a good job with YSE. Good luck to you!          "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."
