well i can understand EYBs point becuz here in germany you get the YSE cds in every f**king media and macro markt. if you dont know that, its a kind of electronic discount supermarket.
and i dont think its good for our scene if you find the cds next to some radio stuff. i dont think we need more skazi fans on our dance floors.
anyway i dontcare about them. but would be nice to stop to call the cd GOA HITS or GOA VOL XX
i think thats pretty sucks!!

Hehehe, not only do you not have solid arguments why you do not like them, you even need others to spell it out for you so you can feel safe in your own vendetta against them. How pathetic is that??

Anyway, it's simple. Don't like them? Leave their releases alone then, simply ignore it and don't buy them.

I bought Tantra Trance and Neo Full On from them some time ago and I think those are great compilations. And who cares about the dumb names? It's the music that counts after all.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

I need to make some things clear.

YSE is pure underground and I will tell you why its not destroying it:

First:
YSE cares about the connections to the local scenes between all the big open airs etc. Completly unkown DJs (besides of a view ones like DJ Bim or Shamane for example) are compiling this CDs. Thoose unknown DJs play usually on familiy-sized parties and connect the tracklist from released CDs which they think work best on floors and ears in the actual season.
YSE cares about unknown talented DJs from local scenes (I know 2 of them personally and they are very good Djs and completly unknown which have a fantastic Idea and Vision what trance is, enough "Pros" do not have that today) giving them a change to provide their vision to an large audience. so this is not underground-support? I think it is indeed!

Second:
From time to time when you produce music you send some demos to labels and you sometimes have a nice talk to the label-owners. They tell you how bad that all has become, that its hard to stay against the big labels which release pop-trance-music and that you have almost no change to stay alive if you want to release individual sound for special listeners, you could call that labels underground-labels. One of this labelowners told that he is a very lucky man, because his label would have died if YSE hadnt buyed some licenses from them. So you think you kill underground if you buy YSE. offcourse you suppert them!

If you dont like the music or the cover: Ok, this is a free world, you are free. But dont say that people destroy the scene which are one of the few last supporters!

In fact it is absolutly stupid to think that buying a CD, no matter which one, could destroy this scene in generally.

And about MTV: What do you think we will see at first on screen and super-marketing? YSE or acts like Astrix? I am sure if they would get a chance, they would do. Who proudly send mails to the Isra-users that he is in the top100 DJ-Charts? No marketing? The reducement of trancemusic to one few heads? Loosing the feet to the underground roots.
Yeah... i keep it neutral, the ways of money go the way money is intended to do, and if producers do hard work for it, they have earned it! (my deep respect)
otherwise it wouldnt be money. BUT....

... Look more carefully who is a supporter and who is making his "hit+run" cashflow from it (HandA your are a genius that you invented this word )

have a nice dance

I don't need to make a point. Remember, I'm not the one saying they're bad.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

When?

I only got two YSE releases. Tantra Trance and GOA Volume 6. Double albums for the price of one, and the track list isnt bad at all.

Kitnam has the point here, people, definitaly..
EYB I don't even pay a few seconds of attention of what you're saying here, YSE sucks ? Could you explain why the same way Kitnam did it ?

I'm one of these noobs that discovered Psychedelic Trance thanks to such compilations and it didn't make me a Skazi or whoever else fan.. But it surely helped me to make connections between the artists and labels names on the tracklists, and to start digging this genre deeper..

Now today oakay, I don't buy any of these any more.. But it doesn't mean I want the end of them.. On the contrary..

Then, to conclude, about the initial PKS' post :

How is that possible

Ankur here got the answer that concerns me geographically speaking (I'm living close to the german boarder), even if he dislikes the phenomenon :

Back to topic...:
After reading the few comments from some artists about this topic, it seems like YSE have treated som labels well. Still, there is also some disturbing information here, about artists and labels that where never asked! If YSE stole some tracks from my label, I would for sure be mad and do something about it. Now, this has not happened to me (so far...), so it is not my responisbility to "clean up". But, I think it's quite coward to just stand on the side line and let it happen, without doing anything. To sum things up, these quotes tells me enough of how serious and "great" YSE is:

1. No credits on the CD cover, not the project name, not the real names and not even mentioned as a remix.
2. We haven't been paid. Sent invoice via registred mail which never made any problems, Ben claims he hasn't recieved it. Sent fax - same. Agreed on invoice via email month ago and since then no answer...
3. Bad atitude from the label side.
That's my experience with them...

As far as I know they have never paid anything to Iboga Records, even they often re-release some of their tracks on the compilations...

Now, this was enough information for me.... I got my answer, and my suspision seems to be right... So, stop praising YSE! Now, someone stop this madness before it affects other artists too...!
