& thats wot i found beautiful in the track well again 'the taste factor'           the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!!

still like the track, 2nd favorite on the CD and have played it in a couple of sets... just posted that as it was a point of view from the outside. for psychillers its a masterpiece but for acclaim in the big pond it needs more improv work... hope they take that criticism in the right way.

An established jazz musician might not appreciate the track but imo that means nothing.
He says it`s the same thing over and over but many folks would say the same of Jazz.

Have you heard Miles Davis' bitches brew sessions??

That takes jazz to a totally different place in terms of structure and basic psychedelic value.
Brilliance.

Younger brother is undoubtedly great music.
Sounds to me like someone stuck in a genre not wanting to broaden their horizons.

Loads of people like David Hasselhof...........

Bitches Brew! can you even compare? heck that album was even part of music history as one of those that changed the face of Jazz forever. Noone's expecting anything like that.

Anyway, guess I have to reiterate. The jazz guy liked the ideas in an Electrypnose track so he wasn't closed to new things. He wholeheartedly agreed when I told him that I found Jazz monotonous as well. We were just sitting there critiquing music ... these guys are acoustic musicians so I think they're looking for something with more flow. If a conclusion is to be drawn then I think Psychic Gibbon can do with a bit more acoustic input as it does have potential to break out and become something massive.

do note that this is being critical in the way of all music in general so it might come off a bit hard. I think as a psytrance/psychill community we are very closed-minded to the possibilities of music because many out here are wearing blinkers and most of our comparisons are in-house.

this album is an effort to go above and beyond. when you do that the critical standard will rise. sorry!

preset74 say they be playing live so lets see what comes of it!

(David Hasselhof is tha shiza!!!)

As I´ve mentioned Simon on another thread saying that I do not like this psy trance tracks.

Here´s a work from him that I can put on my favourite playlist with all genres.

"All I want" is really all I want from a track in this style...           LOADING...
