i see this release as psy-chill more than anything else, though it's not 'strictly' that.. and i guess i still have faith that psy-chill will rebound one day, when all the fine musicians making it will get their heads unstuck from their arses and look around to see what else is happening in the wide world of music.. 
of course lots of non-psy ambient and IDM artists are getting all cheesed out lately too. ulrich schnauss and apparat for example. who can I blame? Trentemoller? Emo? britney? Bueller?

You got a point there. Apparat was mega cheesy but I really liked it. The last Schnauss was simply dreadful.
As for Psy-Chill getting their heads unstuck, well, I wouldn't count on it.

Again, the taste factor comes in. I really liked the last Schnauss album, except for maybe 2 tracks, Medusa and Stars weren't really to my liking, but tracks like Goodbye really did it for me. Oh well...

its 100 times better than I expected it to be. Amazing Work. New fresh and original music. that's the reason I am in psy scene. To be satisfied from this kind of music.
