Young kids/teenagers at parties?

Hi guys,

Last weekend I performed live at Rinsed 3rd Birthday, which was an All Ages rave in an interactive science venue in New Zealand.

There were about 500 people, most of them 16-20 year olds and they went hard!!!!

There are a lot of "all ages" parties here in New Zealand, and they always have a lot of young teenages who come but they are always well behaved (often more friendly and happy than older people I see in nightclubs!)

But, when I went to Boom Festival, I saw almost no teenagers. Everyone was 20+ almost... So I wonder if it is not common for young people to come to parties in Europe?

What do you think?

I have a video of me perforimg live (seriously live) at the party here

As you can see a lot of young faces, but having such a good time. It makes me very happy to see so many young people getting into psychedelic trance.

What are your thoughts on younger people at parties?

Its all about balance.

Too many young people and it gets out of control, too few and it dies.

I think, you will find more young people at indoor parties across europe or at smaller underground outdoor events, than you will at the festivals - at least the biggest of them.

Young people or teenagers often do not have a big income to travel. That is probably why you do not see so many teenagers except for the local teenagers at big international Festivals.           http://www.peopleagainstpeace.net/

There is no need to generalize... yes, for some, it is too much too soon... for others, it is doing them a world of good. It might be illuminating to ask around and see when everyone started with all of this. For example, I was 15 when I first started going out to events.

Here in Toronto I never notice much of a young crowd, mainly because all ages events are few and far between. It may be a large contributing factor to the lack of growth in our local scene.

Maybe i'm young, but not stupid..
alot of people nowdays add agelimit to parties.. it sucks.. young people can even act more mature than the adult ones, it really depends on the people you invite. but yeah.. they don't travel since they are more depended on their parents and they don't work ( mostly at school, etc.. ) so no monthly income means no cash..

I think that it's ok for the "young blood" presence at a party but only if they have some respect for alot of things because on most of the parties that I've been the majority thinks that the world starts with them and they have no respect even towards themselfs ( eating a shit loads of drugs !?!) and voila! you get bad vibe.... otherwise it's ok i m h o           @Iono_Music

as ppl said not every young person is an immature asshole..

i personally think age limits should be relaxed a little.. i have a few friends who couldnt go to a recent event because they got screwed by 18+ by one month hehe... we will go to the next party

I personally prefer older people, they are much more comfortable to be around, and sweeter... though here in india, a party is mostly made up of 20-25(/30) year olds.. the few older ones totally stand out for for their good vibes           Nothing is said that has not been said before.
