I asked whats the most shocking thing that Wikileaks exposed to us so far and the best answer i got is "just wait and see".

I think this sums it up all......

P.S 1 Venom i dont get informed by Wikipedia neither i do my research through it,my research comes from much more reliable sources and not from a website where everyone can add whatever he wants or thinks.

P.S 2 USA wants to arrest Assange so that they can expose all of his partners which is more than logical since some of them must be working within the US Government,i mean every country would act exactly the same so its not strange at all that USA is doing what they can in order to get him (and they will) in their hands. If the guy had exposed really top secret material he would be dead before this story leaked out.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

No need to get so personal.

I am not ignorant – this is exactly why I am so skeptical.

All I am saying: this hoopla is as overhyped as the Y2K computer bug, maybe even more. It will shatter some people’s illusions about the world we live in. And it will give some other people (maybe you included) an illusion that something can be radically changed. Then it will blow over. And if it does not quietly go away, some fat stripper is going to overdose in a hotel room and everybody will be busy guessing who will inherit her millions and get custody of her son. Before you know, we’ll be back to roasting our turkeys and hams and stuffing plastic eggs with chocolate candy. Sad? Yes. You can say thanks to another compatriot of yours who will make sure it goes this way.

I am not saying all those things because this is what I root for. I am just saying this is what’s going to happen, whether you and I like it or not.

And I repeat again: the only truly shocking part about this story is the story itself. Nobody in this thread provided any news that would beat the story of a young schmuck stealing documents from the State Department. Why is that?

so first u say you are skeptical . but then u say that you DO KNOW whats going to happen in the future like some kind of oracle....

so im wondering if you have the magic pixe dust that u are skeptical about to help you to see the 100 per cent sure future....

and secondly who cares if its shocking or not? nobody in here started the discussion to say if its shockin or not...

if you already had ur conclusion why are u still here ?

prob nobody s in the mood to try to convince you WHY this s shocking...

cant u notice many people find it shocking but you DO not ? its okay, people are different.. and maybe you are special but are you tryin to convince everybody else that this s not shocking ?

is it hard to acept and respect the others opinion ?

Ok Maine Coone you got me Having travelled around America, spent a lot if time meeting & living with various American's & doing a 25,000 word research thesis on America's role in Afganasthan since the true beginning (when the CIA trained the Taliban & supplied them with weapons), I have had a rather extreme anti-American attitude and would not be sad to see the American administration exposed for what it truly is

Ps national security threats are just a way to keep the population paranoid & under control. It worked for WW2 Germany, Soviet Union, Iraq, China & North Korea.

We can happily add the U.S.A and my sad country to that list as well.          I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

Vermeee,
Take it easy. I am not trying to convince anybody of anything, just voicing my opinion. Why am I making any predictions about how it will play out? Because other people made their predictions (about this big global awakening etc) and because this is not the first media scandal I witness. Nothing is 100% sure and I never claimed that I have a magic crystal ball. But these scandals usually seem to follow the path I described.

Am I totally wrong here? Yeah, maybe I am just talking out of my ass. Maybe we’re witnessing the beginning of that Mayan 2012 thingy. That sounds much more reasonable than what I wrote, right?

What’s shocking, what’s not – that was just my curiosity. People’s reaction to these cables interests me much more than the cables themselves. And it seems that I am not alone – the story of WikiLeaks and the fight around it already eclipsed whatever they released. It became more about who attacked whose Web site and who wants whom in prison. Hardly anybody talks about the emails themselves anymore. I think that the question of what exactly people find shocking or surprising is just as valid as the question of what’s going to happen to Mr. Assange. BTW, I find it very interesting that nobody talks about a 23-year-old soldier whose life is essentially over. He is destined to many years of some serious anus enlargement project – yet many people don’t even know who he is. Interesting…

V3NOM,
The whole thing is embarrassing on many levels. I am sure the number of people with an egg on their face will further increase with time.
About anti-American sentiments: it’s sort of a default attitude for most people outside the US, isn’t it? Not too hard to guess.
I came to realize that such an attitude is not as fair as it may seem to you and the rest of “progressive humanity”. Not because I have some kind of childish illusions about my government’s benevolence. But because I realized that it’s not much different in other countries. In fact, outside the “First World” it’s only worse. Politics is a dirty business, no matter where it’s carried on. And it’s full of assholes and hypocrites everywhere. Our assholes and hypocrites are just more visible because we are bigger and louder. For example: I don’t know how deep your thesis research went, but I am sure you realized that US was not the only participant in that war. And the USSR was not exactly a spotless lamb in that story either. There were a few other countries involved, including some enlightened Europeans. And the whole story was pretty disgusting all the way around. It’s easy to blame all the problems of the world on a big fat loud bully, but it’s an oversimplification at best and distortion of reality at worst.

1. i put the link as a starting point for those that had no idea, I go by my other reliable soruces who work for the media in the U.S.A, U.K & here in Australia as well as colleagues who are in the Aussie government

2. They already caught the person who leaked the documents. He's in prison. So the U.S "partner" is already dealt with. Also, Julian nor any working for Wikileaks are in hiding. They have all made their whereabouts known to the relevant authorities. Julian actually went and handed himself into the U.K police once the proper warrant was served to his lawyers. They have not been hiding or on the run at all.

As I said, he will not release the big stuff unless something serious happens to him. hence the 256 key encrypted "insurance" file they distributed to 100,000 people globally plus the newspapers they work with.

Only an idiot release the big stuff at the start, like any story you start of building up to the big things.

Did you see how when he said he had 5GB data on two major US banks the shares of Bank of America automatically dropped by 3%?

I think people believe that he can do some damage mate           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

How about illegal drugs trials done knowingly by the US government and Pfizer on children in Nigeria that resulted in 6 children dying from the drug?

How about the made up fact sin the case of the child disappearance relating to a UK couple by the UK police?

How about the US sending uranium illegally on a commercial airliner despite the many laws that make this illegal?

How about the fact that one of my own Ministers has been handing over state secrets to the US government without telling our own leader or the public here?

There is heaps mate. Just analyze what is being released instead of relying on government and corporate controlled news media feeding you more and more lies!

What about the fact that the same judge in the UK allowed a wanted murderer from South Africa out on bail, but they are holding on to Assange for much less serious crimes and he still actually hasn't been formally charged by Swedish prosecutors? If anything stinks of conspiracy and bullsh!t this does!           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

Mate nothing shocking or unknown in illegal experiments in African nations (there are even movies out there dealing with this like Constant Gardener), nothing shocking in the illegal transportation of uranium that is going on for ages, nothing shocking in double agents and nothing shocking in biased justice.

All these things are well known by the public for ages.

Its like telling me that the french government is actually controlling Burma through the petroleum companies, noone has proof about it but everybody knows it. Or like telling me that Iceland is actually bought by Russia, noone has proof about it but its common knowledge. Or telling me that North Korea still exists on the map because China protects them, noone has facts about it but its elementary politics knowledge.

For me top secret shocking facts would be things like what REALLY happened to the russian submarine Kursk and what REALLY happened on the 9/11 attacks because i cant believe the story thats out there.

As about the password documents, they might be true or they might be a bluff in order to protect himself.....           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

The thing is that they are not trying to show that it's anything new.

They are showing that these things do actually happen, rather than vague political comments in the mass new media & rumors among the discontent.

I think the fact that an international arrest warrant has been served on a serbian (I think) ex-president for the crimes he committed that were revealed in a leak are enough to justify the releases so far.

Each to their own, enjoy living in a dream mate           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

Just because the first 1,000 leaks (out of 250,000) have not be a major disturbance does not mean they have more info of a bigger nature.

They are not going to leak the big stuff straight away.

Wikileaks has stated that the stuff that will be leaked later has info such as the CIA involvement in 9/11. Info on alien lifeforms. Info on the secret societies well all hear about but have no proof on.

Also, there is the "insurance" document that was released to over 100,000 people globally that requires a 256 character key to unlock (it cannot be broken into, some of the worlds best hackers & government departments have tried).

This file has information that, having been seen by very few, would be the data equivalent of a thermo nuclear device being set off.

And now, 11 months later, where are those earth-shattering revelations?
I WANNA READ ABOUT THEM ALIENS!! AND NOT THE ONES DEPORTED FROM ARIZONA! I WANT TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT TRUTH: WHO IN THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION IS MARSIAN?!
Why am I shouting? I don't know. Everybody seemed so excited about this whole thing that I thought I'd play along. Bad timing? Nobody cares any more? Sorry for disturbing the neighborhoood then. I'll shut up now.

Thnx

Well its hard, there are people who wants to believe (includes me) there are people exposing the truth and doing something about, but ive discover that we cant trust anybody and anything but in ourselves and in our critical capacity, there are many desinformators, sects, beggars, and for sure the richest people of the world who things they are so smart and can expose some of theire dirty things and be unpunished. We have fakes like the zeitgeist movement (i admit i was hooked with the first documental) david icke and the otherr bunch of morons and the ppl and corporations behind them, mixing truth with lies. Lets avoid the paranoic sensations about this shit and try to be free in our minds.           "The world is how you see it"
