To me the biggest surprise here is that somebody managed to steal and leak such a massive amount of confidential info. The facts themselves are hardly something unthinkable, imo. Some of them are unpleasant. Other - disappointing. Many are of no consequence whatsoever. But not that surprising.
So, the world of politics and diplomacy is full of back-stabbing bastards and deceitful jerks. So, people say one thing in front of cameras and another behind closed doors. So, people pretend to be friends but hate each other’s guts. Is it really news to anybody? Every little uncovered fact may be interesting and new, but the overall picture is just politics as usual.
I am not trying to dismiss the facts here. I am just saying that many people act much more shocked and surprised than these facts would warrant. I am trying to understand why people react this way when they read something they must’ve suspected already anyway.

i cant remember the font but in the begginin of the year when the BIG crisis started in GREECE and PORTUGAL , GERMANY made it very clear that they WASNT happy leading money to the weaks european countries but UN heads were demanting such thing .... ( EVEN USA is leading money to those countries atm )
and Germany made it clear if they would keep leading money they would make higher demants frmo this whole block...

hmmm my friend, i would guess ... maybe cos most of the people were never interested in those subjects 
but now that some has come across it they are all surprised...
but also has the interesting point the detox has said.... bout misleadin the population to another subject, and write and show those documents in a careful way so the big populations would feel SURPRISED and also REACT against it..and which that reaction they could achieve DARK THINGS who knows....but then that would be conspirancy.. and well lets try to avoid conspirancies in here coz lots of people doesnt like it...

Germany and USA are lending money to countries like Greece and Portugal through the International Monetary Fund of which Germany and USA are the two main members since they have invested more money than the rest of the countries that are participating in it.
If you see the conditions that they give away billions of euros to Greece for example you will immediately understand that they are not lending money to Greece but are actually BUYING Greece for peanuts. The interest rates are ridicusly high and the expected length of paying back these money are unrealisticaly short. So because they know that Greece wont be able to pay back this money (at the moment Greece is loosing one billion euros per month since the government receives 4 billion euros per month through taxes and pays 5 billion euros to pensions and to operate the public sector) they have forced Greece to sign terms like giving away the national airports,navy ports, the public electricity company and even national monuments including the Acropolis, like i said they are buying Greece for peanuts.
And Germany is doing this at the moment that they owe Greece 50 billion euros from the second world war which they refuse to pay back.
The Irish already refuse to pay back any money from those that they have already received (and thats why today the IMF declined to give them more money) and the same will happen with Greece and then there will be chaos all around AND MAYBE THEN GERMANY WILL HAVE A GOOD REASON TO DECLARE WAR TO GREECE TO GET BACK THEIR MONEY!
Now this is modern politics and not the joke wars that USA declares in Iran and Afghanistan just to take over the petroleum resources over there.
P.S Maine Coon the information published on Wikileaks are not really confidential,if they were they wouldnt leak,its preety basic stuff that was not obviously well kept and probably someone emailed all these documents from a government pc to somewhere else without getting caught.

something that i wanna add that i found very funny .....
those documents were leaked, lot of riots started in EUROPE... Uk was one of the places affected... 1 weak later UK informed that they would rise the price of the universities from 9 000 to 26 000....

Because there are different levels of secret classification in every country and different people have access to them. Do you think that for example information about alien technology would exist on the same room with that document describing the French President chasing the family rabbit?
Real top secret stuff is held in top secret rooms in top secret locations and this information JUST CANT GET OUT and the people who have access to this information can be counted on the fingers on one hand so that they can keep track of where this information flows.
For Gods sake the guy managed to publish 1,2 million documents on the internet, does this sound like top class confidential stuff to you? Plus he was advertising wikileaks for months all around the world, if that was top secret stuff he would be dead in ten minutes along with every person he had met in the last 30 years of his life. Get serious mate.

Ofcourse they are pissed off but if they were really pissed off these documents would never appear and everyone involved would have dissapeared already including this funny Wikileaks founder guy.
P.S Its obvious that the wikileaks documents are a product of internet hacking except ofcourse if someone has a huge printer LOL. Thats why they are pissed off because someone broke in the low level security system and stole those documents.

And Maine I agree with what u said about politics being dishonest. And this facts doenst suprise me anymore, I follow theses politics news from long time ago, and I could see this from while back...
But with wikileaks this infos got closer to the mass population. Thats why i think its so relevent.

Just like you, I suspect that most of this hoopla is of little consequence. But I disagree about the confidential character of these documents. They surely were not intended for public reading. I am not sure what kind of messages you exchange with Pavel, but I suspect diplomats have good reasons to keep their correspondence more secure than you and Pavel (or at least I hope so ). Besides, a significant number of those documents is actually classified as secret.
The person who leaked these cables will probably be charged with treason and will spend the rest of his life as some big dude’s bitch. Even if all this has any positive effect (and I don’t see any so far), I can’t help but wonder if it’s worth the price.

Dear Maine Coon the great majority of these documents are classified by the United States as just Confidential and only a few documents are classified as Secret. There are no Top Secret documents leaked on Wikileaks and thats why this strange looking guy from Australia still exists on this planet.
The discussion between the American President and the prime minister of another country is immediately classified as Confidential no matter what they say.
The discussion between the American President and one of his Generals for the war in Iraq for example is classified as Secret since it includes sensitive details like army positions, attack plans, targets, etc etc.
When you move to the Top Secret category then here you have things that i doubt even the President himself has access. We are talking about stuff that people like the head of CIA can see who is actually more important than the president himself like you can easily understand. I mean if they find a UFO with Aliens in Ohio or someone discovers a new weapon of massive destruction or there is a plot to assasinate the Chinese leader i can see the CIA head and the army big heads learning the news but i doubt someone will inform Obama about it. Now this is Top Secret.
P.S By the way can someone tell me the most shocking fact that we learned out of those 1,2 million documents on Wikileaks? Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!! |
