who was the frist dj in goa and where is he now ?

hi
i heard some storys that it was a french guy named laurent or soemthing and then goa gil
and ruedi from swizterland
and since ruedi stopped to dj since a few years
only gil is left from the first wave
but i am just checking if someone out there
remembers how it started.
would be very interresting to know

hello!
yes, the story of Laurent is true: he was the first and "only" dj in goa that time. parties then did not have a line-up: Laurent would play for many hours and before the party ppl with music was goin his house to give him the music. Other guys playing in the very start, were Fabien who still come to Goa and still plays sometime and another guy, Disco Freddy.
This was the very start, and after came Gil and after again Theo who now runs Discovalley Records.

I do know that Goa Gil was playing Beach partys with his guitar in the 70,s as i've seen photos at my friends house in Goa, but who actually played the first ever trance/dance party i don't know. Maybe Gil would say he did but who really knows, i guess someone must. I also have been led to believe Laurent was the first to do this.

so a friend of mine told me that laurent was actually from swiss too from the french part someone has any ideas
also i heard about a guy from italy named"red baron"
but he died?
would be very intteresting to find out more
its from where w all coming from somehow 
and dj chris planet gil told me it was laurent
but he also dont know what or where this guy or doing
i only heard a few times he is in a mental hospital somewhere
so please if anybody has more infos let me know
also perhaps somone has still pics from this time

actually what i heard it was a mixture of the first electronic beats with some stuff from front 242 rush and other industrial kings from the early eighties and late seventies
my friend promised me to bury out some old tapes from goa he still has so i am very exited to hear
anyway seems nobody here really know what happened
everything kinda blurry in the old memories 
anyway would be very nice to hear more about the "good old days " of trance

Anyways seems the "Laurents" are everytime the first to play in some places as I am the first to play psytrance in the middle east too !?!

I know Sven Väth has been a dj since 1982, but I didn't know he was playing in Goa? I thought he was one of the people who created the scene in Frankfurt (and well, most of Germany)

My friend saw Sven play in Goa in 1993-94 season, he brought some turntables with him for that one
