ok psychedelic...is it? just a quuick word tho...earlier on in this thread there was a bit of an acid vs no acid blah blah going on....so i feel the need to throw in my 2 cents...firstly...drugs suck....yea the make everything cool , blah blah, music sounds greeeat...blah blah....but i am really ..drugs are for weak human beings....well the way they are being used anyways...drugs used properly..and i am talking about organic drugs here, have some sorta possible purpose, but still its all bullshit...i can produce any of those so-called enlightened thoughts without drugs...when i go to trance parties and i see all the ppl on drugs , i think its funny, cos they are all making asses outta themselves...its not enlighteneing nor powerful to rely on a drug to make your time good etc...the thing to proberly consider is that the music isnt trance-like enough to go into a true natural trance straight off the music....constant breaks every minute etc...its really bouncy dance music..not real trance music...so everyone is on drugs, tricking themselves that they are in a trance...only thing your trancing on is the drugs...
psychedelic party is a mind-state...key words...atmosphere, aura, ....think of jux-a-posed ....confusion, chaos, beauty, etc encompass that in reality and u mite be somewhere close....
for all you drug users...dancing on ones own energy is the bestest, i was at a party recently and afterwards a friends asked me what i was on , cos he thought i was tripping and rushing...i was on nothing but myself.... but for all those so-called enlightened beings...why dont you try Astral Projection (and i am not talking about the music) , its more hectic, more scarier, more exciting and more beautiful than what any drug can do to you...stop being lazy , look for enightenment through yourself and become strong!!!

Maybe weak human beings was a little strong, one could say religion is for weak human beings, the way that people use it but that would not be taking into account individual perspectives and generalisation is never positive.
I can party sober and still have a excellent time, if the music is good and the people are friendly why let other people who you couldn't care less about annoy you?
At the same time a little substance can be nice now and then.
One's own personal thoughts and feelings may be right (or wrong) for one's self but your thoughts and feelings might not be right or true for the next man. Righteousness is never right (?) something like that...

I really think that psychedeleic drugs are not for dancing
it would be a stupid idea to take some and go to a party
music and what u make out of it ? is what makes it special
lighting, decor and nature
u can fly by ur own mind and imagination u don't always need drugs to create the prefect atmosphere for u
for those who call themsleves acid freaks what ir u r not lucky that party and booom a bad trip hits u would it be good Im sure u will not enjoy anything for couple of hours till u clam down so why don't u party without anything unless its a special night for u |

drugs...no drugs...drugs..no drugs...it seems that this can go on and on...but the thing is, everyone ends up with his OWN oppinion, and there is no right answer in this question as in any other question. I think all we can do is only share own oppininons...well, this is probably what we are doing here. So mine will be that drugs are nor good nor bad, important or not.. they just ARE..a part of this world. And its better not to concentrate on either of the sides, do not get addicted to a 'drug-induced states' nor to 'sober states'. It should be all in your personal balance. I hope this makes sence to you...
And back to the question "What makes a good psy party?" I agree with many - good music, open-minded and friendly people (this one actually is more important for me than music!), psychedelic decoration.  Yeah! |

Drumming and dancing have been important trance-inducing practices among many tribes.
And yes, psychedelic substances have been used during those ceremonies as well.

Psychedelic Circus Decoration.
And Offcourse nice chillout areas and not expensive prices for minimal stuff like water etc etc..
